Thanks Andrew, another great update. Good to see you working the land and I liked your comment about seeing some "dust". I like how you visit local suppliers/ products. The Bailey trailers are very impressive.
Marston Trailers was the big name in my youth. Robotic equipment is no doubt on its way. Technology is romping on, but it’s still a good job we can’t control the weather, every farmer would want different weather at different times on each field. Thanks for interesting vid.
Marston Trailers were built only 15 mins from me. At one point Lincolnshire had 5 trailer manufacturers. Bailey, Wootton, Armstrong & Holmes, Marston, Larrington, I might of missed more.
Lots going on, lovely to see… very interesting! Bailey’s Trailers are clearly so good at what they do, all of their designs seem very well thought out and engineered, and I need to find out more about Cope Seeds as they’re a much larger company than I realised… proud that they’re based in my home town!
A great video Andrew, that is the Lecford estate what is Waitrose near Stockbridge Hampshire. I am from Hampshire my self, what was my home Area, in fact my home area has a very famous x F1 Driver now a big Farmer. Jody schector.
Hi Andrew another good update really interesting and informative. Bailey trailers very interesting the two for Waitrose just down the road from where i live near Andover nice estate. Thank you again looking forward to the next one
It’s just the people carrier I think. The overlaying of photos of the bale trailer and high lifte pea trailer somehow got moved to when Michael and I were talking about other trailers. ☹️🤦♂️
Hello! I am glad you finally accepted my advise regarding Maschio's pronounciation! Learning everyday must be a life's commandment... Always interesting videos.
Rhonda and I are really pleased, just a post and rail fence of some sort to put up between the garden and the pond and then Nala and Frankie will be safe. But do t want to spoil the view so will need to be careful what we put up.
It's interesting seeing the effects of sulphur deficiency on the crops. Some 40 years ago, when I was a student at the University of Nottingham, they were conducting trials of the effects of Sulphur on wheat. Due to the proximity of the Ratcliffe coal fired power station, they erected tents over some plots to prevent sulphur landing on the crop.
Great update the weathers going to get better most likely be to dry in a few weeks but that’s farming life went through all these ups and downs in the seventies and eighties nineties smaller machines less compaction on the soil then though but the weather never beat us happily retired now love you weekly updates how’s Henry going now
@WardysWaffleAndrewWard yes it's me. My guilty pleasure after finishing my day on the farm, i come home and watch other farmers talk about their day's on the farm! We are the only supermarket owned farm in the country, and we are a true mixed farm Arable. We cut 1500ac last year 500 head beef Sheep from Wales graze cover crops over winter Also we have chalk stream fly fishing. Golf course. Plant nursery and farm shop. We also cold press our own osr oil which you can buy at waitrose along with our own flour. Leckford Estate which has been owned by John lewis since 1929. If you're ever down in Hampshire please pay us a visit. I can try and film the trailer being delivered this Tuesday if I am there to unload it
@davidmiles5398 Thanks for that. Great info. Please get a vid of the people carrier if you’re around, in landscape! I’ve heard of Leckford but didn’t know it was owned by John Lewis or if I did, I’ve forgotten!
Hello David, The tines are the same or similar, agree but the frame is a lot heavier and stronger. I wouldn’t want to be putting the RX on a 50 yr old pig tail cultivator I could pick up at a sale for £2k!
Very interesting as always Andrew, I like the comment about dust 🤣 Your mower going up and down same as you work a field makes sense. The one,s I ,ve seen going all over the place never made sense, How’s Henry,s new baby doing?
Andrew, once again a very interesting update. How do you find the time to get what you have? Mind you, that was the story with most Farmers that I knew in the '80's, the more thing change ... Hope to see more of the seed companies do on thursday!
Cracking update again Andrew. I’ve got a good friend off mine to farms near Rugby and they’ve had a lot off trouble with black grass in the last couple off years. DUST? Was wondering what that was 😂😂 wonder what the idea off a 9 tonne trailer is? Because it was a far lump off trailer.
It’s from Rode. The make all the tv folk use. I don’t always have it with me, hence noise on occasions when I’m out and about and not intending filming but see something of interest. It’s on a wire and plugs into the phone but connection is guaranteed. I tried a cordless pair last year but the connection failed half way through interviewing someone. I didn’t realise until I’d got home so lost half the recording so couldn’t use it.
@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard hi Andrew you can monitor and adjust the adverts you have on your page, from what other RUclipss i watch have said. Great video as always. I get annoyed with all the vegan and plant based food advertising that seems to be in every RUclips farmers channel at the moment.
Difficult to answer both those. Last year was the first year of growing a commercial crop anywhere so there wasn’t a market for the beans so we received a fee from Agrii’s R and D pot and the yield was just under 1 ton an acre. Again, not sure what this should be but I think it’s not enough. Lots of this to change.
Can't you get one of your workers mow the lawn ? Less hassle. To be honest your lawn doesn't look good Considering using that special turf that you used..
The Robot is much less hassle than cutting it by hand now it’s all programmed. I agree, the lawn doesn’t look good but neither would you or I if we hadn’t had any food since you were born! The fertiliser I gave it last week was the first time this ever had any.
Thanks Andrew, another great update. Good to see you working the land and I liked your comment about seeing some "dust". I like how you visit local suppliers/ products. The Bailey trailers are very impressive.
As always a good update. You make my Sunday morning with a Waffle
Thanks Matthew. 👍😊

A good update Andrew, bailey has some nice workshops and the range of trailers are superb. Really enjoyed the robot lawnmower update.
Thanks Peter, glad you enjoyed the update.
That ground looking wet and hard do the right thing and get the plough out it's a difficult year need to help the soil and plants as much as we can
When?
The house with your garden and pond area is looking fantastic! Lovely place to live.
Thanks Jacob, still lots to do!

Loving the vids.those easy sheets are gonna become a necessity as law enforcement catches on te no sheet equals loose load.
Great vid thank you 😊
We have a Bailey bale trailer with hydraulic clamps..saves us hours of time from no longer needing to use straps. Would recommend…
If we carted bales we’d definitely have one.
Great information
Hi Andrew the weaver machine you showed is just a regig of the old spring time cultivated I used back 50 years ago, so it's not a new idea.

How long before that mower ends up in the drink 😂
😂😂🤦♂️
Think cows go hungry
Nice ‘dog house’ for the mower, mind me asking where you sourced it? Have the same mower and could be worthwhile protecting it a bit….
Someone makes them for B snd B tractors. It works a treat.
Have you tried a grange LD subsoiler?
We haven’t, they are very good though.
Did you get all of the spring barley and oats planted
No, we didn’t do any, way too late imo

@grahamglasper4463 😂😂😂 Househams are coming tomorrow to sort it.
Noticed a few Bailey trailers still on slave wheels, are they struggling to get tyres or rims Andrew ?
Not that I know of, it usually means they still have something to do to the trailer or paint it.

Do the baked beans give a comparable return compared to sugar beet .....how many tons per acre do the beans yield on average?

Robot mower apart from not coping very well. Will not do a very good job and it will take all the fun out of cutting the grass..
It copes brilliantly with the job and could do a much bigger area. With the 3 different new mowing programs, I wouldn’t be without it.
