God damn! He didn't just reincarnate all his pieces - which is impressive, but most can do it, no, he invented this bizarre geometric sequence to force the king on c2, where he checkmated it without ruining his intented formation. All while being in severe time trouble and premoving every move. I don't know if he practiced this sequence or if he invented it on the spot, but that's absolutely crazy. This is perfection.

it's a 20 move sequence that works every single time so yes he prepared and memorized it, him acting like he just pulled it out when he'd clearly practiced it is quite disingenuous tbh

For anybody wondering, he’s able to pre-move the entire checkmate sequence starting from Qe2 because it’s actually forced.
Set up an analysis board with the position of the white pieces on their starting squares, no pawns, and the black king on ANY legal square with white to move. Set the computer to the highest difficulty level and just make the following moves with White:
1. Qe2
2. Qg2
3. Rh3
4. Rf3
5. Qg4
6. Rf5
7. Qg6
8. Rf6
9. Qg7
10. Qf8
11. Rd6
12. Rd8
13. Qe7
14. Rd6
15. Qc7
16. Rd2
17. Rh2
18. Rh1
19. Qd6
20. Qd1#
This entire 20-move sequence is forced without any fear of stalemate or checkmating too early no matter what Black tries to do and it’s the same thing if you flip the colours and do it on the opposite side of the board. You just have to invert the moves.

No shit, that's exactly why it was possible for him to deliver that mate in the first place. GMs only premove checkmates when they're forced. But even then, it's still very impressive. Premoving a long sequence like that still takes a different level of skill.

I was able to do it after like 5 mins of trying, it's really easy to remember once you know the idea of each move, this is also available in the checkmate course by Aman after this game lol.

How did you just premove the whole sequence with 2 seconds on the clock with no increment?
After placing your piece back to their original squares you can premove the sequence with the queen and rook.

I just had this and tried it against a random person in bullet. Had under 10 seconds, played Qe2 and the whole sequence up to when the rook lands on d6, but then instead of going for Rd8 I forgot the sequence and played Qe7 😭
Gotta rewatch it again and take notes.

It's more insane that Aman- not too long after this clip- explained that he discovered that the entire sequence could be premoved once all the pieces were on their starting squares.
The only caveat is that the opposing king cannot be on the g3 square for white or g6 for black- when the first queen move leads to stalemate. Every other legal square? You can premove everything.
