Will my Chinese Mini Excavator Sink in the Swamp?

  • I needed to dig a drainage ditch in my swampy woods. I was afraid I would get stuck in the nasty wet swamp yet it needed to be done. Not fun to clean afterwards!
I also needed to change out the bucket to a larger one. I show in this video how to change the bucket without a quick disconnect.
I bought this micro track hoe or micro trackhoe as they are called. It’s a Kymron sold out of Oklahoma and is made in china. It has a 14 horsepower Briggs and Stratton engine which gives it possibly more power than a 2200lb mini excavator needs. I use it for all kinds of projects, from digging, trenching, picking up logs, moving rocks, etc etc. I have a 8” bucket, a 16” bucket, a 30” grading bucket and a rake or grapple. It comes with a 36” hydraulic dozer blade and a hydraulic thumb. It also has a hydraulic oil cooler with electric fan.

A quick connect makes it easer. And a tilting bucket is nice. I bought the 32 inch one.
If you have a concrete company close by. If you have a way of Hauling there wast. Here in Oklahoma i use dolese it is free. There washout. It makes good for low spots and roads and dont brake your pocket

I have been thinking about buying the quick connect. I dislike changing the buckets.
I’m in Oklahoma as well, just lack the way to haul their waste. Norman for home, 20 minutes east of Talihina for our weekend getaway.

That's the hard way of putting buckets off and on!
When taking it off undo the back one first then the front one.
    When putting it on,
Do the pin closest to you first then raise it up to do the back one.
That's the way the pros do it.

I have a problem area like this I have yet to tackle. I'd suggest figuring out a way to measure elevation so you get the best flow. If you eyeball it you could chase your tale.

I agree, I have dug a couple places that didn’t flow very well, I need to figure out the elevation better for sure.

I'm doing similar with trench around the house, not really draining though just holding water will need to play around with it, my eyeball level is a bit off

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees  4 месяца назад +1

That’s what I have been doing. My eyeball level was way off in an area that was like a swamp pond. My trench is a little deeper than it should have been and holds water. It’s ok, better to be too deep than not deep enough. lol.

If you did get the excavator stuck you could probably pull it out with something not much bigger than a 4 wheeler

I'm not to bright , a building has a big box with lots of monies and i have a card that i stick into a place and then type some numbers and how much i want and it makes noises and spits out my card back to me and then a lid opens and the monies is ready for me to grab. It even talks to me , says don't forget the card and the monies. I don't know where the monies comes from. Maybe magic ?? Lol
