  • Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to SOUTHEND AVIATION.
Today's footage showcases WT806, a 1955 Hawker Hunter GA.11, turning Jet A1 into noise at Bruntingthorpe. Though built and delivered as an F.4, 806 suffered an over trim incident during a tight turn where it reached 10G. The aircraft was sent back to Hawker whereby the aircraft was stripped and rebuilt to the GA.11 specification.
Today 806 resides in the Classic British Jets Collection fleet at Bruntingthorpe. She wears the same livery she had in 1987 where it took it's last flight. The guys at CBJC do an outstanding job of restoring these jets and 806 is no exception. Engine runs are carried out on a regular basis and the team put on engine run events days a couple times a year.
Speaking of, Bruntingthorpe will come alive on the 27th April where you'll see many jets in the collection running up. Tickets can be obtained following this link: www.eventbrite...
    My Equipment used:

That's what we like to hear. The only thing that could be better would be if we could have Neville Duke back to put it through it's paces.

Hi - can you tell me... How many times a year do you test Vulcan engines and how long does it last per time?
