    Is it just me or does that maths seem wrong? I think he has written 15 breathes but calculated for 12 breathes.

    You divided it by RR of 12/minute not 15 otherwise you will not come up with those numbers you mentioned. Why Medcram says there’s more Ventilation at the upper portion of the lung and less perfusion while at the lower portion of the lung there’s more perfusion and less ventilation.

      That's correct. Dead space by definition is where there is more ventilation and less perfusion. The statement that there is poor ventilation in the upper lobe is not correct. More ventilation, but less perfusion thus the V/Q ratio is greater than 1.
