- We are so excited to try something new! Cruising on Carnival Panorama will be our first Mexican Riviera sailing!! To the new ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta... But first, let's board this ship and set sail!
There is a delay in boarding as the ship was about an hour and a half late getting in that morning... but we are in good spirits and the weather is cool, we we are all good. Once we get onboard, we will give you a tour of our balcony cabin and head to Lido for a Guy's Burger and a sail away party!
Since we are celebrating Carnvial's 50th birthday, they are pulling out all the stops! This is one heck of a sail away party... and it will be an epic cruise!

Sailed from this port in January, it’s The closest port to me. (20 minutes) The city of Long Beach is making some repairs to the Queen Mary. I stayed in Hotel a very long time ago!

Alisa had it all under control!! We will be sailing on the Carnival Panorama for our 44th anniversary in October. In the past it's been Princess that we have cruised on, and we are going to try Carnival for the first time ever. This looks like a lot of fun, and I look forward to being on this ship. QM was at risk of being sunk to the sea, but I heard nothing bad will happen to the last ocean liner because big profits from guests could actually save her and I love the terminal interior which FYI it once stored a floating plane which I found surprising to learn. We were on the Panorama on Feb 12, first time on Carnival we loved it. Also we liked the elevators, we were on deck 14 and never had a problem or had to wait long for an elevator. I found them very efficient.
Can't wait to go on the Panorama in 2024. We are finally doing a aft cabin and looking forward to that. Love the little section next to the dryer to stash the makeup. I wish they would have upgraded the curtain to glass, my only pet peeve.
The QM needs a whole lot of restoration, poor gal.

My cruise was in 2013 had to fly to Spain Barcelona to board the ship 🚢 great time we had going around the Mediterranean Monaco Rome Naypols meny more beautiful places

I haven’t read all of the comments but thought I would chime in about the origin of the domed terminal building. It was originally built to house the Hughes H-4 Hercules, more commonly known as The Spruce Goose, built as a prototype strategic airlift flying boat designed and built by the Hughes Aircraft Company. It was eventually moved to the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon.

Once you get the hang of them they are really efficient. I stayed in a hotel in NOLA one time and it had the system. Confused the first few time but quickly got the hang of it. Haven’t done a west coast cruise for a very long time. Alaska is on my to-do list.

Wow that new terminal looks so amazing!! We were supposed to go on the Panorama in Mar-2020 for my birthday, but was cancelled of course.. we were even going to try to stay at the Queen Mary. Looking forward to seeing the ports on that side of the coast in your next vlogs! Oh and congrats on soon to be platinum.. truly seems like we have been gold forever.. After 2 7-day trips on Mardi Gras I'm only at 61 VIFP points! lol

Hubby and I stayed on the Queen Mary the night before our cruise down Pacific Coastal on Celebrity Eclipse back in 2019. It was on hubby’s bucket list. Nice experience but the ship needs some TLC.
The Queen Mary is not being demolished. They are trying to make it a historical site. They need money. Everyone that has owned it has ran it into the ground. It needs so much repair and restoration work done in the millions of dollars. I have never stayed on it but the rooms are the former staterooms. I have seen them and they are really small. I live in Long Beach. After a long time we are going on a cruise out of LA. The Navigator in October. Look forward to watching the rest of the vlogs.

We were unsure too on the Horizon about the new elevators; but then got used to it much quicker! Went on Sunrise last week and old elevators waited forever for elevator. New elevators much better!
We didn’t have to touch 2 times for riders! Once worked! I think someone told you wrong information!

You guys make me laugh! We were on the Panorama at Christmas and I loved the new elevator system! We never had a packed elevator and didn’t have to make 10 stops to go up or down!
It got better, but it wasn’t very efficient that first day.
Love your videos. I have never wanted to go on a cruise but since I have been watching your videos I think I am ready to plan for one. I’m the video Alisa is holding like a little camera. Can you tell me what camera that is, if it was a camera. We are going to Ireland this summer and I am thinking about getting a small type camera.

The City of Long Beach own the Queen Mary now and is supposed to be restoring it. There are rumors they may move it from there. We shall wait and see what they do.

We got on the day you guys got off this amazing ship!! Hope you had time to hang at Alchemy-our group got hugs from Ufuk, Predrag, and Dragana the last night-such an amazing time and we had so much fun! Stayed forward on Lido deck so could be close to Guys and Blue Iguana!!
We never went to Alchemy… we were always in the piano bar. It was a blast!

The dome was the home of Howard Hughes’ Spruce Goose.
We did that cruise Pre Coved on the Splendor. Cabo was the best the other ports you don't want to go on your own due to the crime is bad. the last 2 days from Puerto Vallarta the the worst we had 10 foot swells and everyone was sick. Deep ocean rough seas. Going on The Mardi Gras April 16th. Can't wait.
Yay... fun cruise - did it in October. That line was tough and rather claustrophobic once inside. Miami's boarding area for RC - sooooo much better/easier. Elevators take some getting used to, but liked them by day 7! Enjoy!! It's truly a "fun ship"!! It was our first carnival cruise and won't be our last!

was on the Vista from Galveston was mad that they did not sale the t shirts that the crew had on for the 50th and they also did not stock the ships store so it was nothing to buy. congrats on making it to Platinum! just made it to Gold myself.
Going on the Valor in less than 90 days. Let me tell you watching these videos without being jealous is SO much better. Our last attempt got cancelled because, you know why. .. I'm loving it!!
We’ve been on the Panorama twice, the elevators are a pain but you don’t have to push the button multiple times for multiple people 😊
one of us uses a CPAP machine it's crazy that we have to bring an extension cord to plug it in because they don't put plugs near the bed. It's a tripping hazard
A $5-million repair project will begin next month to reopen the Queen Mary to the public, the latest step to keep the beleaguered Long Beach tourist attraction afloat. The former ocean liner turned floating hotel closed in May 2020 because of the pandemic.

We love the QWEEN MARY and yes it is haunted! our room was haunted. it’s so sad that the ship is no longer operational. I hope you enjoy the panorama trip to Cabo it’s so amazing one of my favorite trips. I’m going back in December I’m a celebrity hope to cruise with you guys soon.

We’ve stayed in several hotels that have that system. It was confusing at first but worked out well in the end.
Later in the cruise it was fine. Just embarkation day was crazy and I think they were overloaded.
