It's such a treat you're allowed to video record at the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens now, and this place is spectacular! The mansion's architecture is impressive, the garden's landscape is beautiful, and the views of Biscayne Bay is gorgeous! 😍 Thank you so much for sharing this tour and experience, AK! 🤗
Oh, this was a great surprise to see. I love it there and it’s not so much the house as it is the gardens and the view. We have been there a few times we drive straight over from Naples when we are down there in the winter it only takes two hours. I bought a coffee mug there a few years ago and I drink from it several times a week, and it always brings me back to beautiful memories of the garden and the view. Thank you so much.
Vizcaya Museum looks so beautiful , the garden and the Mansion itself😎It was a privelege to us to see that beautiful place🙂Thank you for sharing A K🙂👍!!!
I liked how it was built around a courtyard. But the gardens in the back for a pretty I can imagine what it looks like years ago when it went back even further to where there’s neighborhood now. It would’ve been cool to see it too. with the little bridge that went over to that Italian looking gondola in the water.
Thank you for this beautiful, historic walk through the famous Vizcaya in Miami. I've had the pleasure of visiting there when I lived in S Fl and liked that you noted the locals like going too! The visual and audio were perfect. I'll be re-watching!
Truly spectacular views at this mansion-house 👏, it befit a king 🤴 status and certainly reminiscing its 🏰 European counterpart's period architectural. Huge amount of money and efforts to put this building up...the furnishings are magnificent 👌 . I could be lost inside here... The gardens and its waterfront views are excellent 👌...thanks AK for showing us around the epic place..🎉😂
Great video! It brought back so many memories of when I would go there with my parents. My mother loved that place and I have photos of me and her at many of the locations you walked through. I am so glad to see the gardens are being maintained so well. In fact, they look even better now than when I would visit so many years ago. I guess opening the house to events has paid off for its upkeep. I can only imagine the wildlife the gardens would attract back before all the surrounding development occurred. Many coral reefs were destroyed to make those railings, columns, walkways and decorations. Of course, that is illegal now but it is beautiful.
Absolutely magnificent both the mansion and gardens. I was wondering where the servants quarters, because an estate like Vizcaya takes alot of manpower. According to an online article the former servants quarters are the street and have been converted into office for the Vizcaya employees. ActionKid is you ever come to the Detroit area you should checkout Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester Hills. Michigan. It was built by Mathilda Dodge Wilson, widow of John Dodge and her second husband Alfred G. Wilson.
No wonder it took 8 years to build that estate! Thank you for showing me somewhere I probably won't go but it was beautiful to see and I'm glad you did not have any alligator problems!😂
Oh you neglected to show the viewers one of the best features of the house, the indoor pool in which you can swim from inside to outside. Even has a place that they kept a boat inside cover against storms and then drove it out to the bay. I have always thought the Miami has been negligent with the upkeep of the estate. As you noticed the outdoor pools are green, the stairs have weeds growing out, the poles by the boat dock that resemble Venice are falling apart and the inside of the estate smelled like it needed dusting. All that said I am still grateful and proud that Miami has kept the place and the place has visitors. With a good pressure wash throughout the exterior and a thorough cleaning inside it could be magnificent again as in it's prime. Thank you for showing people the estate and perhaps they will now get more visitors.
I am so glad you were finally able to film there. Vizcaya is one of Miami's treasures, I have visited there many times since 1986.💕🌴🦩One of my favorite bedrooms is the Cathay, which is decorated Chinoserie style, silent film star Lillian Gish stayed there in the late 1910s as one of the many guest of Mr. Deering.

Wow! Incredible! Love the architecture. And, the history. Thank you! It reminds me of Hearst castle in Cali. So opulent.
Glad you enjoyed it! The architecture is amazing!
Those gardens would keep the yard guys busy their whole lives! Beautiful!
I thought the same thing! The garden must take so much time to keep in its condition.
This place is spectacular.Thank you for sharing A K😀

Love the Flagler museum house too

I can only imagine what the grounds looked like when the property was much larger!
Thank you! 😍 Please turn on subtitles for non-native English speakers. Love your channel.
Lots of beautiful young ladies being photographed when we’ve been there

quarters are across the street
Yes, much of the property was sold off because the heirs couldn't upkeep the home. Many of the servants quarters were on the former property grounds.
Eu, meu marido e amigos já estivemos aí...fazia muito calor mas foi um passeio inesquecível.... Saudade ...❤️🇧🇷❤️🇧🇷❤️🇧🇷💥🙋♀️
Thanks for this cool Video 👍
On My bucket list …. Thanks AK.

It's quite an accomplishment to construct this place, thank you for watching!
This reminds me of NewPort Rhode Island. The mansions are incredulous
BTW, have you visited the Versace mansion in Miami? If not, please do go.
