I’m just here for the ride. Xenoverse 2 is a game that I thought would die out after a while but it still kicking. The dlc is somewhat worth it. The new Goku black character is what I’m most excited for right now
I would hardly consider it alive knowing it has less than 2k players on Steam Charts. Like what if you were anywhere outside the US? You wouldn't be able to play with/against players without lagging.

I don't think you can get those offline, and same with some effects like world champion and what not. You literally miss out on game content for not being online.

Xenoverse 2 isn’t going to die anytime soon. Until a new game is released that will allow custom or personalizable characters, Xenoverse is Dragon Ball’s only big cash cow outside of the gacha games. With Dragon Ball Heroes shutting down for Divers (which has no guarantee of anything right now), Xenoverse 2 is the franchise’s only consistent golden goose that isn’t a gacha.
Sparking Zero being the successor of the Budokai Tenkaichi titles will very likely draw the majority of people looking for direct Dragon Ball fights (that aren’t in FighterZ’s 2D arcade fighter format), but the core the Xenoverse series has always been a focus on “inserting your own character”.
That said: Breakers could have been the answer to drawing attention away however it’s randomly unstable game traffic numbers and repetitive gameplay caused people to write it off wholesale. (Big RUclipsrs just don’t stream Breakers anymore outside of major game update time windows.) Jump Force might’ve also been it, but it has its own issues and isn’t strictly Dragon Ball. (It’s still amazing though.) What else is there?

now i'm wondering if the TP Medal purchases can still be redownloaded? I have to keep redownloading mine every time my save data's online feature gets corrupted. by "Online feature" corrupted. I mean like the "Returning to Conton City" bug where it doesn't happen from network connection. can confirm because my PS4, Switch, and PC work perfectly fine in online matches, and works fine on my xbox version after I redownload the TP medal purchases. and it's not just a "Returning to Conton City" error screen for myself. it does it to every player in my lobbies I host, but happens to me when I join someone else's lobby.

Moveable saiyan tails was data mined about a month ago…
However, it seems that rather than making the current tails move it will be a new unlockable.
Likely behind a huge cost, raid reward, or limited time festival of universes reward via contribution.
If the majority of problems in the current gen version aren't fixed like lag, modders, and cheese, then imo it's not really granting much on the online side of the game. It would also be nice if they expand a lot more on the PvE aspect of the game aside from raids and crystal raids. Idk what they could do but more ideas would be dope
Probably introducing manga content at this point. Ultra Ego Vegeta and the like. And i say this as someone who despises DBS and would rather have it not exist. But Xenoverse 2 is a game after all and it probably needs more content.
Either that or make Xenoverse 3 on a bigger scale MMO format. Because Xenoverse 2 is still using the same engine from 2013 (Xenoverse 1) and still looks like a game from 2 generations behind.
@@damsen978 While I honestly don't think Xenoverse 3 will happen, if it did, it could definitely expand on new mechanics and qualities of life for the game, which is probably why people want a Xenoverse 3 so much. The first Xenoverse didn't play that well compared to the second game, and you only had like 2 main combos to go on for most characters. 2 gave more ideas with inputs but it also introduced new problems as well.
As for manga content, it would be nice, but I don't know if they can do that. I hear that they wait until the anime adaptations. I do really like the inclusion of Villainous Mode as a transformation in the game for characters who didn't get it before like Goku Black and Vegeta. They should also bring add all Supervillain characters from the 1st game because why not. I also thought it looked a lot cooler than Villainous Mode.

@@aggression- I'm not gonna lie to you man, the Xenoverse community is just as bad, if not worse than the issues the game has, so I do agree mostly.
There definitely are instances where people either genuinely have awful Internet connection or they're on another side of the world where things just won't work out, but there also have been times where I've had matches where blue bars and the game will still find a way to short circuit a match and in one instances, it aborted the match altogether.
Modders are an issue that involves people voluntarily hurting the online experience for everyone involved but Bandai also allows them to be there because this is the only game I know of where you do not have to accept the online TOS and still play the game online as if you did.
As for cheese, the community is way more at fault than the developers because the majority of, if not all cheese in this game is not intended by the developers and people will abuse them. People will go as far as defending the cheese that can be exploited in the game or say that they are fully intended mechanics.
Aside from modding, the PlayStation community for this game is astronomically worse than the others and I honestly don't know why. I even saw a giant namekian modder offline in a PQ for an optional battle
@@aggression- That's not to say the developers aren't at fault though. They've allowed all of this stuff to roam the game for many years and haven't bothered fixing any of these issues because they've just chosen to neglect the game's problems and just throw DLC at everyone so they forget about the game's problems for like a week or two. Either they don't know, or they don't care, and both are very bad for the overall community.

This is only my speculation. Say the developers are looking through videos from yourself and other creators and also looking at comments. Who’s to say that the new TP medals don’t add moves, clothes and Super Souls, that fans have requested?
I’m not saying it’s a great model but, just like the TOU, they could be preparing something a bit major in scale but wanted to time those items up with the new currency?

Xenoverse 2 is planned to run alongside Sparking Zero. We don't however know exactly what that means in great detail.
Kakarot has plans for more DLCs (it's confirmed), Xenoverse 2 will launch its 4 DLCs completely maybe in 1 and half year from now and nobody knows if DB Daima is gonna be DLC too (besides launching the PS5 upgrade in a few days) and The Breakers still has a lot of new Seasons coming after 3 or 4 months.
Why the hell those games have to stop only because Sparking ZERO is coming? Sparking ZERO isn't the fuckin whole world for Bandai, it's just another DB game with a lot of hype because of the Sparking METEOR (BT3) nostalgia but a lot of moaning too because "there is not offline multiplayer yada yada".

There is no official statement that this will be the last dlc pack but the road map states that they'll at least update it till 2026, so the main guess is that pack 1 and 2 will come out this year and 3 and 4 next year

Don't worry you can. It will let you download a next gen version of the game then you can transfer your saved data. You have to keep the disk to play the next gen version actually.

@unkindledmartyr7791 you essentially just re-download it. So for my PS5, I will have to download the PS5 version of the game. So I will have Xenoverse 2 for PS4 on a disk and Xenoverse 2 for PS5 digital. Even if you transfer your data to the PS5 version and delete the PS4 version it will still show the PS4 version on my menu but it will have the PS5 version right next to it.

I've been playing Xenoverse consistently, thinking this DLC was around the corner after they teased 18 & Videl. Now I'm getting tired of waiting. We're obviously not getting it until or after they release the next gen version.
They are just bad at delivering information for the game. Been a year and the most infor we got only came at the end of the last month/beginning of this month. They just don't put enough effort into this game, yet expect you to be hyped by what they do show you. Kinda like that next gen update with flowing grass. That's all we got and they expect us to be happy about what we see

@@tommigotdabeatz7817 They're horribly bad when it comes to caring about this game at all. Whenever they do care about it, it's only about what kind of money they could make with DLC. Even if the DLC does look nice, which it does in some areas, you still have the base game that is filled with so many problems that have been neglected since the game's release.
They either won't know of the issues the game has or they just don't give a damn. If the next gen update doesn't make up for all of it, nothing will.

They’ll make a 3rd installment. With how greedy game companies are these days when they see a title go well beyond its intended sell rate they aren’t just going to let the series fall after just 2 games. I’ll bet they milk XV2 using it as a testing platform for the third game where they can work on the improvements.
The saiyan tail movement that’s coming to next gen update is an example of them testing things out to see if it will work properly before they really introduce some crazy stuff either later on or in the next game.
I just don’t see bandi letting one of their highest selling game series just flat out die off especially when they obviously have so much room for improvement. That being said they could very well be dumb and let it die off who really knows. 🤷♂️ but I highly doubt it, cause the company made so much money off XV2 there’s no way they don’t have ideas at least for the third game. Especially since they’re still putting in effort for the game even now what 8 years later.
Sparking zero to me seems more or less like a fill in game to keep the fans happy for a while along with the DLC for XV2. Even if some of XV2s profits went into sparking zero. 🤷♂️
