Awesome. Little Turtle was an incredible warrior, war-leader, and then peacemaker. Epic man, and epic times. Thanks for honoring him with this presentation. 🤙🏽

I grew up in Napoleon, living right on the banks of the Maumee river. I use to canoe up and down the river; camp on Girty’s island and imagine what it was like for Little Turtle and others. Very interesting topic; thank you for keeping this subject alive!

Where is "Girty's" Island? I've read about it, but no one I know remembers it or where it was. Upstream from Napoleon, or downstream? Grand Rapids or Florida? I understand that Simon Girty had a trading post there. He must have traded in fur and feathers and fish, but what did he sell in exchange? Bullets? Knives? Beads? Wool Blankets? Smallpox vaccine? New maps?

Very nice synopsis, but one small mistake. St Clair was defeated at the site of what was later Fort Recovery at the head of the Wabash river, not Fort St. Clair.

Little known and misunderstood event. Thank you for trying to explain something that you don't know anything about?
