Id be very interested in a 7.8" version of a kindle scribe, ideally without the asymetric bezel or a reduced bezel. Great video.

I hope Amazon continues to enhance this version of Kindle. Different sizes could be nice and a lot of functional software updates like automatic uploading a website page to the device like the Remarkable brand does.

You can have different templates in 1 notebook/folder. You need to update your kindle

remarkable is very user friendly with its shortcut functions
but I think amazon can just easily copy these in future software updates
On the other hand, it's going to take a miracle for Remarkable to become the e-reader (but it's more like a massive library) the Kindle Scribe is.
So I use my kindle scribe for all my notes now as well and it does a satisfactory job. I do wish it wasn't so sensitive to the palm though because I keep turning the page so frequently by accident just by laying my hand on it.

Apples and oranges as far as I am concerned. I have had very little luck with the scribe taking notes. If a notebook has more than a few pages, the scribe struggles. Sometimes it takes 20 seconds just to open a Scribe notebook. The RM2 has layers, pinch zoom and converts hand writing to print. There is also a pretty slick folio for the RM2with a concealed keyboard.

I agree that RM2 is ahead with features. Thanks for posting a comment.

20 seconds to open a notebook? How is that possible? Have other people confirmed this, could it be a faulty unit?

I agree that the home page is a mess. I am trying to use the library view and i set up collections. I have several pdfs i use between work and home. Using collection has reduced my anxiety on the home page.

Yes after a couple of weeks of use I'm full on Collections. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

I don't think the kindle has a back light. It has lights along the edge of the screen that shine light along the edge of the screen. I may be wrong. Thank you for your review. The Remarkable's lack of a reader is a deal breaker for me.

Thank you for watching the video and commenting. The kindles' light description I guess depends on who's writing about it. Some reviewers call it a "backlight." However Amazon's description calls it a "front-lit display." Thanks for pointing that out.

Scribe Template you can convert to text, PDF you can not.

I use PDF/Template interchangeably and sometimes based on how the creators title their products.

can we read kindle books in remarkable?

    • @LalaPlannersThings

Good question. I found the following answer from the Remarkable site, "You can read DRM-free ebooks (EPUBs) on reMarkable 2. Kindle ebooks are not supported. This is because some ebooks (including Kindle ebooks from Amazon) are DRM (digital rights management) protected, which is not currently supported on reMarkable."
