I'm so thankful that the Holy spirt teaches with technology. Listening too surmons all day at work, driving, and leisure time. Listening too many churches with surmons going back as early as the 80s. Thank you Jesus Christ our savior.
I attended a chapter by chapter & verse by verse church before I moved a month ago. I still watch it on FB & YT along with Athey Creek. Learned more than any other churches. I agree there should be many more in the country.
By them cherry picking verses, it’s almost like some preachers don’t want you to know the Bible. I know that’s not the case, but is it satan? I don’t know. I grew up with a hellfire and brimstone preacher. I got saved, but never really understood the sermons. Then it went to saved by grace with very cherry picked verses. Same thing every time. I needed more. A lot more. I needed thru the Bible!❤️❤️
So encouraged by the message! Thank you for discussing how important it is to understand that God uses those the world disqualifies. Jesus' first 12 seem unlikely, and YAHWEH gets the all GLORY! So many Pastors are neglecting the shepherding of young men who have been called because they don't "fit the mold" without an MDiv. So thankful for your view, and I pray our nation and the world would begin to see and hear that college is not God's pre-requisit. Grateful for the Biblical leadership at Athey and the internal shepherding that is built-in. May the Lord bless you all and keep you.
Listening from Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. I came across Athey Creek after praying for the lord to lead me to a Bible teaching church and low and behold your church soon appeared on my RUclips page. I have been Having a hard time finding a Bible teaching church in my area. May God continue to Bless your church, the way Pastor Brett teaches the word is exciting and refreshing. I use RUclips to watch. Thank you for teaching chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
Yes, thank you Brett, that we can listen to you regularly. Your church, the teaching and the worship are a great blessing to us on RUclips. God bless you all! Linda. from Northampton, England
Athey's teachings, the WORD OF GOD ALWAYS line up with what I am exactly going through in every day life! Wow the Word is so alive and active! Thank you Lord for so generously speaking to me. You feel so very close!
Watching from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Found your channel with the Prophesy updates and continued watching from the beginning of your postings on YT. I have learned so much, thank you.
Pastor Brett, I am always late to the table. However, I am SO glad I found you. Yes, I MUST know what’s in that Bible. Life doesn’t allow luxury time anymore 😢. I can NOT thank you enough for being you. Please stay true to Gods word for the rest of the world. I think pastors cherry picking verses is what brings many to you. I don’t want opinions, I want gods word in context and truest form. Thank you and may God give you many blessings 🙏🙏🙏
This RUclips watcher comes from south Louisiana, where they "wrestle gators" lol I don't watch live always, right now Athey Creek is in the book of Luke but I am in Matthew. I use Brett to interpret what I read. I love how Brett gives a picture that you can understand.
I wanted Pastor Brett to slow down to talk about several key verses that were covered tonight. Matthew 10:22 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.” - Many Believers either misapply this verse or are incorrectly taught that endurance is a key tenant to acquire salvation; That unless one endures to the end he forfeits his salvation, or believe this passage teaches that a failure to endure to the end proves one was never saved. For Church Age believers such as we, the only thing we’re told to do is believe. Moreover, these verses are Messianic in context with verse 23 providing contextual clarity with “you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes” where Christ sees and is talking past the Church Age into the Tribulation. The endurance, then, is physical survival where those who endure through the awful events of the tribulation will be alive or delivered by Messiah when he returns to earth. This is not a reference to eternal salvation from sin, but rather the deliverance of survivors at the end of the Tribulation. Matthew 10:7 I know Brett touched on it, but he also missed a great opportunity to discuss in detail the historical significance of verse 7. “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Yes, the verse is about Jesus, yet the fact of the matter is the Kingdom offer was truly at hand. Chapter 10 was before Christ’s death and was definitely at the time when Israel had not yet rejected the offer; Thus why He extolled the Apostles to preach that the Kingdom was literally at hand. Additionally, this is why the apostles weren’t to preach to the Samaritans nor the Gentiles, as the Kingdom offer was specifically for Israel; Which was later postponed due to their rejection. But at that time the offer was still valid. - I just wish Pastor Brett would’ve expounded on that point.
Yes Humbly sir it is impossible to expound on all points of Gods word but we can build up each other by saying here are other gold bits of knowledge amen Shalom
Please don't ever apologize for the lengthy teachings of God's word. It truly is a balm of healing for my soul.
