Thank you for featuring The MADz. My husband, who is one of your subscribers, called me to watch it. I just came home to the Philippines to attend our MADz reunion rehearsals and recording! Yes, I am blessed to be an alumna. It just brought me to tears during our rehearsal/recording days. It seems so surreal! The experience of more than 70 people singing together and still sound so good gave me goose bumps. It felt like the good old days of singing together. It's as if we didn't stop singing together. Our voices envelopes each other's voices! It is the way we were trained to sing. We practiced endless hours especially before a tour, concert or competition. Thank you again for featuring our group.

The conductor Mark is at the end on the left side. He conducts using his head. Almost all of the members of the Madz are voice majors/conducting majors at the UP College of Music and most the members have their own amazing sounding choral groups in their area. They showcase their own choirs in a Madz et al concert. I am fortunate to have participated in that concert back in the day.

Eumee Capile has a viral video, maybe from 3 months ago, where she walked in on a Korean street band in Myeongdong (Seoul, So. Korea), joined in, and sang Never Enough. For her encore, she sang Bang Bang. By then, a huge crowd had formed that impeded traffic, and while still singing Bang Bang, the cops came, tried to disperse the crowd, and one (or two?) of them approached the band-maybe to ask them to stop 😅 That was recorded on a phone, too, and she sang amazingly well there!
Trivia: Maestro Ryan Cayabyab used to have a Pop Group called Smokey Mountain. He currently wrote a song for SB19 Stell called "Di Masabi" with MV released last August 17, 2024. He was so impressed with the interpretation of SB19 Stell of "Sometime, Somewhere" during his Concert (Gen C) last May 2024. He hand picked SB19 Stell to perform "Sometime, Somewhere".
Madrigal singers have been around for a very very long time. They’ve been around since I was a little girl ,for context I’m almost 60. The members just change as the older ones retire , they were the original acapella singers before it became a thing.
watching from United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi), I always watch these two gentlemen every after work... Love the show.. genuine and honest reactions always...
Interestingly, at the end of the song, they showed the Cultural Center of the Philippines which literally rose out of the Sea( reclaimed land fronting Manila Bay where one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world can be witnessed). SB19 performed outside of this landmark for the Round Festival , the first time they formally were introduced to the world.
Tawag ng Tanghalan is a singing show that has been around forever in the Philippines. I remember watching when I was young and I'm 65 now. It was in b&W then and the whole neighborhood gathered at my grandmother's house to watch it. Back then, not every house had a tv yet.
Religiously speaking, the Philippines has been blessed by GOD so much with talented singers. I think that we will sing for the Lord when the time comes. If the Levites are the priests, we are the singers.
One of the things I appreciate about this channel so much is that, they listen. They try to accommodate their audience as possibly as they can, which is not often done by youtubers. They connect. Not to mention the effort in learning Tagalog. They don't need to actually, even without all of those, I'd still watch them for their humor. 😊

Paraiso (Paradise) was originally sung by a youth Filipino group, Smokey Mountain and song was composed by Mr Ryan Cayabyab, National Artist of the Philippines for Music and one of the icons of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). Mr C as he is fondly called, composed a song for Stell. Please check it out as well as when Stell sang one of his compositions in Mr C's birthday concert. The song that Stell sang is called Sometime, Somewhere which Regine sang (original was Mr Basil Valdez)

I am still patiently waiting for you to react to Regine, Lani, and Jaya singing The Greatest Love of All. I really do hope one of these days you react to our Vocal Trinity. Here in the Philippines, it is the dream of many music fans to see them perform together once again while none of them is retired yet. For now, we only have the RUclips videos of their old performances to watch.
Now, that’s the National Formal ATTIRE OF THE Filipino woven from pineapple fabric worn by the singers of the Madrigal singers. Del Monte and Dole Philippines have vast plantations in the Philippines.
Re-watching this and when Richard said something about how amazing it was for 22 people singing so consonants are in sync, I remembered how there were so many choirs who made videos by individually recording all their members during the pandemic. If they weren't in sync, that would've been hell for the editors to put them all together in one video!
Also, the second Madz performance is practically open-air... done in the outside lobby of the Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) main theater. Audio is still fantastic.
RYSSI is about the insane TONE, RASP, EMOTING, VIBES. Her incredible ability to RIDE A BEAT, second to none. Her perfectly placed RUNS, always so tasteful. Her SONGWRITING. I've nominated songs that showcase all this. My faves are Kyla, Jona, Mori, Katrina, Gigi etc. But I think Ryssi is becoming my ultimate fave. Thank you for doing Ryssi. Maraming maraming salamat po. ❤
Would love to hear something from Zephanie (1st Idol Philippines winner) as well as Keiko Necesario (acoustic folk artist doing her own songs) Both are great! Both are on Wish Bus plus many recordings on other platforms. Zephanie was chosen to do the Tagalog version of This Wish from Disneys "Wish". Her collab with Troy Laureta is incredible. Keiko does so many of her own tunes. Special songwriter's voice! Her version of Joni Mitchell's Both Sides Now is haunting. Her original "Through It All" is excellent. Being a songwriter and musician myself, she is one of my favorites in the Philippines.
Paraiso was originally performed by the group smokey mountain that was formed by Ryan Cayabyab. He is also the composer of the song. I suggest you guys check the original version.
"RYE-SEE", that's the way RYSSI herself pronounces her own name! OMG Ryssi next time, I'm so excited. Thank you po. I will recommend a lot of songs. 😍🥰❤💯
BINI has 8 members (P-Pop girl group) recent release of "Cherry on Top" (English) was performed the LA KCON 2024 (K-Pop Convention). Other songs "Salamin, Salamin" "Karera" "Pantropiko" "Lagi"
This Philippine Madrigal version of PARAISO made me cry...it is actually a sad song about giant landfills in Manila..originally sung by a bunch of kids..thanks for making these vids/reviews
I think the first video of Philippine Madrigal Singers performing "Paraiso" is a different generation or set of singers from the last performance of Circle of Life.
Please react to "Comme d'Habitude" and "Eres Tu" of the Philippine Madrigal Singers and A Night of Wonder disney medley by Zephanie, Janella and Stell.
Bini is a great girl group. They have a whole lot of haters and bashers much like SB19 did when they first appeared on the scene. Unfortunately, the negative side of some Filipinos who are miserable with their pathetic lives!
Katrina and Budachel sang this song during the pandemic to share positivity and love during the Covid pandemic when everyone was locked up! Very inspiring and so well received by everyone!
Yes Kris version of this song was the Best but i think it was put down, maybe someone complained to the wish bus version, so we cant seem to search it anymore at youtube, kris version. What you can see/search of kris version from wish bus is from a different source with very low quality video, but from the wish bus it self is already not available.
MADZ best is their rendition of ERES TU in an Uruguay church, because its impromptu, and so few of them and yet it's super ethereal (will elevate ur soul), did sugest before with the link even, but not played...

Now, that’s the National Formal ATTIRE OF THE Filipino woven from pineapple fabric worn by the singers of the Madrigal singers. Del Monte and Dole Philippines have vast plantations in the Philippines.
Perfectly Done so unique rendition always.🎶🎶🎶🎤👆🏻
The Madz is superb good choice guys! I am trying not to tear up listening to in the train. It goes straight to our soul! ❤😊
The composer, Ryan Cayabyab, also wrote the music of quite a few Filipino musicals like Rama at Sita, Katy, Portrait of the artist as Filipino, etc.
Yes, there is 'THE VOICE' and 'PHILIPPINE IDOL' in the Philippines
RYSSI is about the insane TONE, RASP, EMOTING, VIBES. Her incredible ability to RIDE A BEAT, second to none. Her perfectly placed RUNS, always so tasteful. Her SONGWRITING. I've nominated songs that showcase all this. My faves are Kyla, Jona, Mori, Katrina, Gigi etc. But I think Ryssi is becoming my ultimate fave.
Thank you for doing Ryssi. Maraming maraming salamat po. ❤
have been enjoying your program for some time now
Would love to hear something from Zephanie (1st Idol Philippines winner) as well as Keiko Necesario (acoustic folk artist doing her own songs) Both are great!
My 4th time, really love the MADZ. Hope you'll feature more. Thanks.
Supporting you from California ❤🇵🇭🇺🇸
I think the first video of Philippine Madrigal Singers performing "Paraiso" is a different generation or set of singers from the last performance of Circle of Life.
My God...MADZ you made me cry. Wow now you can speak Tagalog already...
Love the Madrigal Singers! World class 👏 👏 👏
Please react to "Comme d'Habitude" and "Eres Tu" of the Philippine Madrigal Singers and A Night of Wonder disney medley by Zephanie, Janella and Stell.
I like Johnny when he comments. Very seldom he dose that because it is Richard who comments a lot.
😊 Enjoying your show from Mindanao, Philippines.
I love Madz. I am so happy I was able to watch them sing live when they came to California 7 or 8 years ago.
Kris Lawrence’ cover of Taehu nga’ Ears, Eyes, Nose is absolute Fire!
Taeyung
Always happy to listen to your reactions. Thank you Throga. More power.
Madrigal Singers have won many international choir competitions. 💪
Sassa (from The Voice Kids you watched) is all grown up and did a duet with Michael Pangilinan.
Up
The PMS sing like angels in heaven!!! Richard said theyre not humans so , there you go.
MADZ best is their rendition of ERES TU in an Uruguay church, because its impromptu, and so few of them and yet it's super ethereal (will elevate ur soul), did sugest before with the link even, but not played...

Miss those days when I watch their concerts live at the CCP. Very fortunate to have seen those.
Saw this impromptu song in a restaurant. It was just amazing. Thank you for featuring them.
You should react on Morissette amon and madrigal singers singing pangarap ko ang ibigin ka
i will wait for the Filipino bride sings🙏
"HE KNOWS", an original wedding song performed by Almira Lat Trinidad (The Bride)
@@ZaidaBenavidez-b1o yes im excited😍
Please react more on Madz performances. 🙏
Leave the door open cover by 4th Impact, they’re so talented, they’re one of the Ppop girl groups. Their harmonies are exceptional and will bring you back to the 60s.
Please don't. Nooooo
eumee capile wrecking ball pls.
My 6th time watching. The MADZ are singing outside the building of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
