What is the juice just water I've made every kind of souse there is except cow foot and I'm making it tonight I'm just curious on what the base liquid is because you didn't say
Mikel Clark hi forgive my late reply, the base is room temperature water so after the meat is boiled I discarded the water rinse the meat & added room temperature water 🙂

It's very nice of you to apologise, but you should not stop because if you eat certain meats no one should get upset at you. I'm a balidan hindu, grew up with my mom side family and they are muslim, where I ate beef growing up. Also I ate pork. And my grand parents from my mom side never stopped us. But if you eat something go ahead and make it because my husband is Christian and I cook beef and pork for him. But it is very nice of you. No one should get upset.
Hi Chamion, firstly I'd like to say I love your perception on food. I am currently looking at your video because I'm trying to make souse right now but I do not have celery. I do however have parsley should I use that instead? Or should I just make do without?
My friend from Sint Maarten made a souse with brown beans some years ago... GYALLLLL, I tellin' you... that was gooooddd ;) ;) But hers was cooked much more like a thick soup, if you will ;)

S ok I’m sorry to hear simple addition of adding a bit of white sugar somewhat replaces the use of MSG in certain recipes 🙂
Fish sauce will also add the flavor. You will get the flavor, no fishy taste or smell.
