I watched a different video on string art and thought to myself I could never do this. Thanks for your patience and this wonderful video I think I might be able to do this. Thanks Ellen. ❤
My brother did very intricate subjects, like a cathedral! I never attempted the art. But your video has relighted my desire. However, I will use purchase a wood blank shape at the craft store. Thank you.
Thank you so much! This helped immensely Ive been watching videos all morning trying to figure out how to wrap the string around the nails. I Unfortunately tend to over think the simplest things. 🤦🏻♀️ Your treble cleft turned out great good job!
I made one using your tips and it turned out wonderful.... My hubby,my brother and friends liked it and they praised it a lot...For those who wanted to do it i'v shared your video... Thanks Ellen...😘😘
Loved your video. There wasn't music in the background, just you. Very pleasant and you explained everything step by step. I'm an avid subscriber from now on. THANK YOU!!!!!! ☺☺☺
Thanks! This was one of my earlier videos, but the first where I felt like I was starting to get the hang of this RUclips thing. It's a quick and fun project and makes for great gifts :)
I know it's weird... Buuuut.... I LOVE THE WAY YOU TALK! 😄 Thank you for the video, been wanting to do this for a long time. Finally getting around to learn more about it. 🙌🎉
I made my first string out project this weekend, thanks a bunch for all of the tips, it turned out great. I do have one question and hopefully you have a tip about it, my string kept getting twisted as I was using it and got a small knot, thankfully I got it out. How to you keep your string from twisting as you're using it for your project?
I'm SO happy I found this video! I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what I want to make my brother for part of his Christmas gifts this year. He has a music studio and is a musician himself and I thought his studio needed a little something moderately sized & quiet. You'd be surprised at the sensitivity of some of these microphones, that's why I said quiet, lol. Thx for your video, tips & a very big thx for making it look Super easy! Is there certain types of string that works best or will most thicker threads do fine? I never thought I could make one of these because they look Super complicated with the wrapping of the strings, although you said you just wound the nails randomly. I'm going to try it and see how it comes out, I'll never know if I don't try, lol😏 Thx again, ladybug🐞 👍⚜
So glad I could help! Most thicker threads will do just fine. I would suggest getting something smooth, meaning without a lot of fluff, so you can see the individual threads. Fluffy yarn will still work though, it just gives a different kind of look. I love your attitude that 'you'll never know unless you try'! The wrapping is really not that bad, you just keep going until you like what it looks like :) At first it may look a bit sad or empty, but adding more criss crossing layers on top will take care of that. And you don't have to do it all in one go, you can come back later and add extra thread if you think it needs it :) Have fun!
I'm gonna try to Do a CityOutline with StringArt, would you recomend to fill out the City with Strings, or fill the rest and leave the City Blanc ? Sorry for the bad english 🤷🏼♂️
+Tube Torial`s Sounds awesome, great idea! I guess it's a matter of taste, both options would be fine. My personal preference would probably be to fill the city with string :)
