This,in my opinion,is one of the Lewis’ best races,if not the best of his entire career. Came into this race equal on points after some insane driving to get the title hopes back up. Had a lot of pressure becuase of the record-breaking 8th world title. And everything he did this race was near perfect. Got a fantastic start, managed pace and tyres perfectly, didn’t panic against Checo but calmed his head and overtook him,was gaining on Max even though Max had newer tires, didn’t defend the inside line out of panic like most would have done in the last lap, that would have closed every opportunity of winning ,but instead he had a chance to overtake Max but 44 lap old hards couldn’t do it against new softs. Poor application of the rules by the race director saw Lewis lose this race, but the level he showed despite the sorrundings is unmatched.

Weaving rule is complicated. Moving under braking is a big no. Weaving on a straight when a car is close behind is not allowed either.
But weaving to break the tow is allowed in most cases.

so to make the rules e bit clearer to you.. weaving is indeed not permitted. But you then point at a situation where the lead car reactes on the movement of the follower. In this situation you saw Verstappen breaking the tow and lewis following the movemets of Verstappen trying to keep the tow. The movement must stop before the brake zone, thats another rule. No moving under braking. So no rule broken.
Not the most exciting by a mile. The difference in grip is like night and day, that it was a foregone conclusion. "Is that Timo Glock" is definitely the most exciting.
Max got those Iracing habits 😂
Hamilton tried everything he could with so much inferior tyre. The fact that he almost made the overtake is insane.
Is insane the engine advantage he had from Brazil on, otherwise the championship would have been over
at the end of Qatar GP
@@alternate45 if you compliment him on his merit there will be nobody denying your opinion 🤔💁🏿♂️👍
@@alternate45 ok now return the phone to your parents, you must be younger than I thought 😂
@@alternate45don’t listen to him he has a vendetta against Lewis, he comments on every video Lewis related hating on him, just can’t admit he’s the goat
how about silverstone this year where he couldnt pass norris on old hards despite being on fresh softs? Tire deficit isn't everything, hamilton was way too cautious here, especially considering he would have won the championship if they both crashed on the final lap.
Looks like they used the battery on different straights. It took that + a tyre offset + 44 not closing the door + RB trading wing (hence tyre management) for top speed to allow the RB catch the rocket merc without DRS. If any one of those factors were missing I don't think Max could have done it. What a miracle
You're missing a tiny teeny little factor there. Something about rules being changed at the last second by the race director lol.
@@Matthijs3476 Wrong. Masi incorrectly delayed the overtaking of lapped cars and later realized that his mistake would hand 44 the wdc so he used all the wiggle room in the rules to rectify it. Justice was finally served that day after years of FIAMG and their unfair head start on engine development.
the teams all agreed before the race that they didn't want to end it under a SC if possible and it was possible within the rules @@Matthijs3476
@@Matthijs3476Still we cry, 2 years later.
Best lap ever!! From a Dutch perspective. Man i went trough rhe roof back then.
I just imagine if hamilton overtook him again, that'd be even more action
imagine if they both crashed
No Mikey, no, no, Mikey. That was so not right.
flashbacks of your uncle?
Every once in a video like this pops up again in your feed and everytime it manages to get my juices flowing when thinking back to this insane moment in Formula 1 history...
No one could've dreamt it!
Yeah, no one could have known the officials would bend rules like this
One day Latifi will tell the world he was ordered to crash to steal Max's title
