I have worn wigs throughout a variety of relationships. I prefer being upfront and telling them before making out because I don't want them to find out by (like you said) their hand going up my neck!! This happens usually around the 2nd/3rd date. I feel so validated when you said that. But every guy (and yes even the situationships) were very accepting and it didn't hinder our sex life at all. I have had 1-2 'one night stands' after telling them but there were red flags for other reasons. I am now in a serious relationship and I also told him early on. It is possible to date and find love while wearing wigs, you just have to own it and they will realize how confident and sexy you are. ✨

My last relationship ( together 9 years), I told him on about date 5. At the time, I wore very long/big wigs. He was surprised, but I just made it sound like it was a fun thing to do. He didn't care. :) I was nervous about my thinning bio hair, but he also was fine with that. That was a huge relief. Very soon in our relationship, I had to get used to being open about my wig wearing because we were always on his motorcycle, out riding with his friends, and I couldn't wear wigs with a full face helmet. I never mentioned it to his buddies, but would show up for rides without my big hair, and just act like nothing was different. Haha With my current boyfriend, we had talked and texted for 3 months before we met up. When we met the first time, he complimented my hair and I simply said, "Thank you, it's fake!" With a big, confident smile. He was surprised, but didn't care. ❤

@@susannah7797 Yes!!! Totally!!! I always keep in the back of my head that they’re trying not to bald (hehe), and so really I don’t think they get too caught up with it. My fiancé for example has thinning hair now too and he’s got a few white hairs, and it’s cute!! He feels bad about his thinning at times, but then I just remind him that I wear wigs and we laugh together 😁❤️ Tis’ life
I haven o idea if it's different being a lesbian but I'm open with the fact that I wear wigs every day and no one has cared. Many woman and femmes have found my confidence alluring and there is nothing better than when I'm able to share my wig wearing with dates and partners.
This is exactly what I needed. I am newly single after 17 years in a relationship. So not only do I have to like... learn how to date I also have to do it with alternative hair, lol. I had a guy touch my hair recently and I hated it! I didnt hate it before. I didnt know how to say please stop. It was uncomfortable. So thanks for this. Hi Heather!! Oh my, yes that would be a challenge suddenly being thrown into the dating world again. When I was dating, I remember guys trying to touch my hair too, and I kept thinking.... Are they going to feel wefts and not know what it is???!!! They're going to think my head is lumpy!! LOL .... And that's when I realized I needed to just figure out a fun way to say I wear wigs RIGHT at the start so that I never have to deal with the hands in the hair... Also tell them that I don't like when people touch my hair. LOL. I hope my video was a little helpful and brought you some ideas of how to handle various situations ❤ You've got this!! XO
GREAT video! I have always been big about not wanting my hair touched. In the past it’s been because I have to use so much hairspray and products to keep my thin fine hair in place. Now it’s because of that along with hiding extensions. Eventually it will be because of wigs. Thank you for addressing this anxiety inducing topic for women.

Well I had a horrific story just tonight!! First date. Making out and somehow it came off and i think he noticed it before I could fix it!! Horrifying! Just started wearing a wig about a week ago... feeling kind of freaked out since there's nothing false about me and I didn't tell him about it on our first date... which is what your saying not to do anyway but still... ugh!! I feel sad and humiliated. Not wanting to date again until my hair grows back. Your video helped a lot though. 🙏🙏

I think wigs are awesome and as s baldy I totally understand wanting to have lovely (any) hair... However I dated a girl then turned out she was wigged. I really didn't fancy her without it. I may have done if she had her natural hair to start with though. I strongly believe it. I'm a bit sensitive to change shocks or whatever. I also don't want to be rude by asking if she's wearing a wig. I really don't want to hurt her feelings.
