There was supposed to be an extra reinforcement piece from a non sunroof version in the middle of the roof, did the same conversion on a e92 335d, the piece could be ordered straight from the dealer, it helps with wind buffering and extra rigidity

try hitting car glass with a small piece of porcelain, its amazing how such a small piece of a different material can shatter glass with far less force than a heavy steel hammer.

Hey sheepman, it’s too late now but fun fact: there’s a trick to changing the starter of the s85 without having to work from the bottom, you just have to unscrew the housing of it from the top and then you can just put in the internals of the new starter, with all the wearing parts changed!
