What a great session Bowly..with only a couple a year like this, these are what keep you coming back. Great video! For all us poor sods here in the US watching with envy, and where we do everything by weight rather than length, whats a 68-70cm barra run? 4 kilo?
Thanks Steve. Hard to say as I've never weighed a barra. Pretty tough one as the same length fish can very a lot. Barra can get very tall in the body to almost square like and that fish may weigh double one the same length.
Hey mate, in this video, I'm using 30lb braid & 50lb fluorocarbon leader. If you're targeting school barra I definitely recommend going heavier leader to avoid getting chaffed off as you would have seen in the video. 50lb can easily be rubbed through by even a 80cm fish.
Call me the 'grunta hunta' 😂😂😂😂. Love the Queensland grouper, never saw one before. Want to buy a shirt but in your next vid can you tell me what size your wearing. Tight lines.
Great to watch. Kinda expensive to 'own' a flick prawn at $14each though. I can buy 1/2kg of real Australian prawns for that much. No doubt they are good, but they need to get the price down or give more than 1 prawn per pack. It's pretty easy to lose a lure after all.
Split shot inside a loop knot made me feel a tender kinship like we are brothers. So jealous of the Australian fishing
Epic vid - don't you just love it when all the stars align. Great barra (and others) sesh. New combo?

@@bowlysfishing Yeah, I know after the wet they're a lot fatter than now, and impoundment are much heavier/cm than salt water fish.
@@stevehershberger2672 depends on the area and when it comes to impoundments they vary like crazy!

For lighter lures and stuff. Depends on the scenario.

Hey Bowly looks to me like you may need to invest in a charter fishing licence, and take people out to do this stuff! 👍👍

It was just time for a new reel, the old one had had her day.
It's good to see you back on light tackle. You look out of depth on meduim/ heavy
Out of depth ? 😂

$14 is cheap if it catches you half a dozen barramundi.
If i buy a shirt, will you take me fishing one day? 😃 That was red hot Bowly!🤟
Can't promise that one! Thanks matey.
I come here to watch people catch fish who don’t scream the whole time with high pitch voice
Bopped
Red Hot session.
