- This ride began with us showing off our new L & W Fab cage. We started out at Pudge's. We took Carr Gap up to the top of the mountain and went left to the Chalk Cave. From there we rode the ridge out to McClean Overlook. From there, we went down to the Sand Cave, down the Cliffhanger Trail and out Wolfpen Hollow to the gravel road or railroad bed. We stopped and played on the slate rock then headed on out to the wooden bridge where we turned right and headed back up Carr Gap and across the mountain back to Pudge's. Awesome loop!
We’ll be out oct 28-? Any chance y’all will be riding then? 2 Can Ams and a Turbo R4. Experienced drivers. Bringing families and wanting to see colors and scenery.
I'd shorten or capnut those bolts holding your roof on. Even though you're strapped in. Still could cause stitches. And definitely don't want any holes in the old noggin.
Thank you! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when we put it on there. Not a bad idea to go ahead and do that. Thanks!
For the noise have you looked to see if the bearing for the drive shaft needs replaced it's located under the shifter
Nice footage that looks fun there!!
Thank You!! We love Tackett Creek!!
Sway bars. Disconnect that stuff don't need it for low speeds and you'll be much happier
I took my front completely off and disconnected the rear and use 3/8 quick pins to reattach it when I go fast
Thanks for the help! Turned out to be worn out heim joints on the outer ends of the lower radius rods.
Good video keep them coming good looking machine also
Sounds like a arm bushings
From the video noise sounds like center bearing or sway bar bushings...
Sounds like upper A-arm bolt is loose. Mine made exact same noise and that’s what it was.
Thanks for the help. It turned out to be two worn out heim joints in the outside of the lower radius rods.
Check your shock bushings / bearings. you normally can't hear them until you are flexing the suspension.
Thank you! We will do that! We appreciate you suggesting that!
Anyone know how far the chalk cave goes back? Heard there was some huge pits in there and everything my dad lives right below it on 63
Front bumper bolts.
That sounds like the bolts to your front a- arms are loose and the a arms are sliding back and forth
If you don’t mind me asking who built the cage?
L and W Fabrication in Temple, GA. Great people to deal with. We just uploaded a video on it. Facility tour and review. Check it out.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing!
Love the cage. The knocking might be sway bar in rear is loose
Thank you! We do too!! He was thinking it has to do with the sway bar and that seems to be the popular answer so hopefully we can figure it out before our next ride. Thank you!
A-Arm bushings
Great video looks like the kids had fun too thats what it is all about
Absolutely
Will be down in that area on May 25th Hope to see ya all
Unfortunately we won’t be able to get out there on the 25th because of work but y’all have fun!! Is this your first time here?
Mine made similar noises and brake calipers were loose.
Check to make sure all your shocks are good. Sounds like one has lost nitrogen charge. Piston bottoming out. Mine sis that. Drove me crazy till I found it. Mine was a front shock. Ended up replacing the needle refill with Schrader valves. Best upgrade I have done so far.
That’s exactly what i was going to say. 2 friends have had there shocks rebuilt due to this.
Sound like sway bar knocking to me
Nice trails and good after dark footage too!
Thanks!!
We’ll be there for the first time June 26-30
That’s awesome! Hope you have a wonderful time while here!
@@pyrooutdoors any chance of yall riding on those dates. Only 2 buggies looking for other folks to hook up with.
@@allenmoody3584 unfortunately we won’t. It’s the busy season for fireworks so Michael is scheduled for 3 shows between now and the 4th. But we will be back out there after the 4th! Cannot wait! Hope you all have a great time!
What state is Tackett Creek in? I love the look of those trails.
I’m sorry, I thought we had responded to your question. Tackett creek is in Tennessee. It lies in both Campbell and Claiborne counties.
