I just want to say thanks to whoever added the vomit alert. I'm have severe emetophobia and that stuff is all over TV, cartoons, movies, etc. It made a huge difference to me to have that warning, and I can't explain how much I appreciate that!
Exactly!!! Even just slightly seeing or hearing it makes me get close to a panic attack because my emetophobia is that severe. Very few people actually give warnings though even though it’s just generally disgusting anyway. So I also greatly appreciated the warning
I wish people would add warnings for needles. I can’t look at them without feeling really unwell and shows and especially TV need to show them all the time for some reason.
Same here! Most people don't consider putting in a warning, and it ended very poorly for me watching anything on TV or online. I am more in recovery now than not, but it was super nice to see the warning. I still can't handle it at all in real life, but I no longer flip at any mention. I used to full on panic, injuring myself, others, things around me, screaming and fleeing as fast as I could, and my mom would have to work for hours to calm me down. I'd just scream and cry and shake and couldn't talk and could not process the emotion so I'd lash out. I still take off running and go mute and occasionally scratch myself when encountering it in person, but I calm easier and don't get violent. It just got (and still does get) embedded into my mind. I don't know why I react like this, but I'm doing my best.
8:10 for anyone interested, a heart attack is when the person is concious, when they go unconscious and you can’t feel a pulse, that’s cardiac arrest, which is when you do need chest compressions. And you don’t stop until the ambulance arrives.

I'm in the Army. One year, we were taking our annual physical fitness test and a group were doing their sit-ups. All of a sudden we all just heard a loud smacking sound and "ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". A guy doing sit-ups had collided heads with the person holding his feet. The guy went on to try and do the two mile run afterwards and collapsed on the ground. The reason he continued the test is because if you fail the test under any conditions it gets noted and you risk being discharged from the military.
The grader/ NCO present could've noted the incident and had him re-take the PT test on a later date if he would've wanted. All they would've needed to do is waiver him through if they really wanted to help the guy out. Was he alright in the end?

My wife used to substitute for the special needs preschoolers, and when they were having a bad day, she would burrito them to calm them down. She called them her burrito babies, and they absolutely loved it. When we had our son, she didn't produce any milk, and a lot of the hospital and pediatric staff made her feel really bad about it. European here, just curious, when you’re doing first aid and the patient is unresponsive, and he’s a stranger, you have to call the ambulance in the procedure. Who will pay for it? If the patient is not covered by an insurance and he can’t pay for it can he sue you?
I’ve had a mild concussion it went down in a few days and there wasn’t any permanent damage but it was a weird and painful experience
I’ve had two during my first season of high school football cuz I kept charging towards people head first as a offensive and defensive lineman. The pain and time is weird
I had a concussion when I was 5. I smacked my head hard on one of those spheres outside Target stores. I have no memory from after the incident until coming home from the hospital. It's certainly a weird experience for sure!
LMAO
