Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Ford Tourneo Connect 2021

- The Ford Tourneo Connect is a corporate twin to VW Caddy and their structure is practically identical. Euro NCAP compared both vehicles to verify that the VW Caddy results can be applied to Tourneo Connect and performed additional tests where necessary. The footage includes video of the VW Caddy 2021 and additional Ford Tourneo Connect 2022 tests.
Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

Well that was an unlikely collab, Ford rebadging the Caddy as a Tourneo Connect. Interesting.
The caddy will have better quality
At least, its all the same vehicles. VW/Ford, Renault/Mercedes, Toyota/PSA(Stellantis).
When each brand develops its own vehicle, it becomes expensive. So there is more profit for each brand and its shareholders.

Nieces and nephews, please be aware that they are filming a crash test of the VW Caddy, because the Ford Tourneo Connect is a brother to the VW Caddy, which shares the components of the Caddy.
It's the other way around, Caddy is now copy of Tourneo Custom. Luck for it, it will handle like a FORD on the road.
@@sezeryal It’s actually not. The Tourneo Connect was released in October 2021. The Caddy was unveiled in February 2020.
@@DaveDVideoMaker Well buddy, it's all made in Ford factory here in Turkey and NCAP confirms all components are the same. So it's a FORD, not VW!
@@sezeryal The Ford Tourneo Connect is made in the Poznań factory in Poland, same with the new Volkswagen Caddy. It‘s not made in the Turskih factory.
Plus, the new Volkswagen Amarok is gonna be a rebadged Ford Ranger.
@@DaveDVideoMaker The point is it's made by Ford, not VW. They make courier and custom models here, not sure about Connect models but that doesn't change anything.

This is the silliest thing. Did Ford request this? Ford is the ORIGINAL MAKE AND PLATFORM and now your show branded version and say "like original". Instead you should have tested Tourneo Connect and show it's results.
