This guy just consistently puts out top tier instructional videos. Bravo and thank you.

It would be nice to see a flat vs flange wall video. Pros and cons and when it would be "best practice" to use each.

There’s not really enough for a video on that topic. It comes down to Design Intent. Are you more interested in controlling the shape like the sketch of an Extrude (Flat Wall) or the profile of a Sweep (Flange Wall). Often it’s a coin flip.

@@CADPLMGuy I agree on design intent. I tend to mostly design asymmetrical sheetmetal. I mostly only use the flat feature. I tend to only use the flange feature when I'm wanting to control more than one "flange" at a time, ie a box with 4 walls the same.
I was recently asked why I choose flat over flanges, and found myself having a hard time expressing why, and also found myself asking, am doing it wrong, or better yet, is one "better" than the other, and if so, what scenarios. I'm always looking to learn.
That's what I was hoping to get clarity on maybe, what can you do with one that you can't do with the other and what those features give the user the ability to do over the other.
Thanks! I appreciate the reply, and your videos!

With Creo 8, you can create multiple Flat Walls, so that’s been removed as a decision factor.

@@CADPLMGuy Interesting. We adopted Creo 6 about a year ago, so we're probably a decade out or so from Creo 8, lol. Big companies move like molasses when it comes to upgrading I've found out.
