  • Imported geometry is sometimes hard to transform as Sheetmetal model. If you use my technique - transform solid model to surface and then you use offset feature, you can unbend any imported geometry and selct only necessary surfaces to unbend - create a Flat State.

    Hi Vladimir, Explanation with subtitle was great. It would be greater if you can explain it with both voice and subtitle.

    Hi Vladimir, i have tried the identical steps on Creo 2.0, but there was a difference, please check below.
    When you need select the first surface for the copy/paste fuction, you use "shift"+"click_select", but i can only use "ALT"+"click_select".
    BR.& Thanks your useful tutorial.

      +Tom Chen Tom... good job, you are right. If you need to select any object in Creo you can use automatic filter (ALT button from the keyboard)

      You can create 1000 of Parameters in just a click.
      Even you can fill all the Parameter values in a single click.
      You can create 1000 of Parameters for entire assembly in just a click.
      There are very simple way to do that.

      I feel that your question is to build a 3d bend sheet metal part from a flat sheet metal drawing. Is it like that?

    • @CADxTraining
      @CADxTraining 6 лет назад

      But why you need in that way? Because the actual development flow from bend to flat, not flat to bend.
      We 1st design the part and then find the flat dimension. How can you predict the flat length of any part initially and develop the part? Anyway... you can use bend option and convert a flat sheet to 3d part. I am expert in sheet metal and you can ask any question related to sheet metal.

    Taking whole step part as one aftr importing it as a surface also

    • @4kside
      @4kside  6 лет назад

      Hi, if you import model, you can by Edit definition select that model will be surface based. Confirm and than select one surface Copy and Paste and select another surfaces for transformation. Then you can set Offset feature and it is done. :) Good luck.
