Its Roland's version of Analog Lab from Arturia..Its what Arturia users have been asking for a Keyboard & software combo with a huge screen that we can use without always staring at a computer. Maybe Roland will have less CPU usage than some of the Arturia plugins. Rolling this out with new Fantom update is super ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
sad thing is that my experience with both companies and their software isn‘t really too much fun. Roland cloud manager and zenbeats are not really great at user experience and good intuitive usability. On the arturia side it’s also already their software management tool that made me waste hours trying to just get it do some updates. So while this here sounds interesting feature wise, if the didn‘t work out a very good, intuitive and stable UX i probably wont be spending money on it.
I've found Roland stuff to be way worse than Arturia's for CPU use. While Galaxias might be a musical counterpart to Analog Lab, cost wise it's a very different beast. AL is $199 for a perpetual license, currently on sale at $99. Galaxias is only available with, and for as long as you have, an Ultimate Cloud membership at $199 a year. That makes them different in purpose as well: AL gives preset access to people who may or may not have access to any of the actual VSTs. Ultimate, on the other hand, includes all of the VSTs anyway - it's therefore like AL for people who have the V Collection.
@@HenningSprang Yes some of the newer Arturia instruments have a high cpu usage but I still love them way more than Roland for some strange reason the GUI stuff with Roland is always a menu diving exploration & I like simple. Arturia sounds amazing & its simple without all of menu & complex ways midi map things in DAWs...We all have battles to pick & choose haha. $199 yr vs. $599 or @$299 on sale for Arturia is a win-win for me. 😂😂lol

I was one of the ones that suggested an all in one interface. Reason has the right idea. Add a plugin fx version with everything from 303 vinyl sim, to space echo, and people will start to pay attention to you guys. There should only be 2 plugins. Intrument version and the effects version.

It would be interesting if we were somehow able to get this (and splits and maybe light guide) to work with our KK S series keyboards. I imagine it’s just a script.

Will this also act as a librarian or controller for FANTOM? If you all could somehow make them work together as well that would be a dream as I want to use my Fantom more than the plugin but together would be so nice.

"Never chase a ghost": Roland says analog remakes aren’t coming
It's too hard to maintain analog, and the quality we're getting now adays out of digital is remarkable. Now, if they released an analog filter box, to run our stuff through, I would totally be on board with that! Imagine an analog filter that you could run all your digital products through. It'd be about as good as analog, since the filters are so key! Or do you disagree that this would be a good compromise?

I bought two MV1 Verselabs three weeks ago, I sent one to my production partner in canada (I'm in the US) and it died a week later. It's gonna cost more to ship it back to me, to ship it back to the retailer then it is for me to just eat the cost so i'm really bummed. But, I still love Roland's sounds so that won't discourage me from getting my Fantom some day. My Sp404Mk2 is also really amazing.
Is there any way I can link a DJ-505 to the verselab? or maybe the MC707? I wanna get rid of this Maschine MIkro Mk3 and my turntable, and swap over to all roland so stuff works together better.

I own both a Juno-106 and a D-50 (both hardware), but the cloud versions sound so pretty. Galaxias will soon join my equipment. Is the bass line (and kick) heard from 0.23 to 0.37 an original built-in preset or sequence? If anyone can tell me what name to find it under, that would be great. Once again Roland rewards us with a VERY VERY VERY GREAT product, but we're used to it ;-)

I have a Roland Cloud Ultimate subscription and have downloaded GALAXIAS in the Cloud Manager, but it is not visible in my Logic Pro. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?
I would jump on a flagship Zenology hardware synth that has a JD-800 style look and set up. The 4 voices with the buttons to edit each one. A nice screen to see clearly additional items...Would pay big $$$$ for that. $3,500 sounds about right.
Hurry up and get JP-8000 emulator vst done please, to be able to load patches from the hardware synth too would be great ;p

Roland, if you could kindly put out a new firmware update for the SH-4D that shows which parameter is being adjusted by an external MIDI controller (as it does when adjusting encoders on the unit itself), that would be awesome. 🙂

I'm amazed by this new library, and I believe it will reach its full potential once we have a VST version. Please excuse my lack of familiarity, as I'm new to the Roland world. I've just bought the Roland TR-8S (which is currently being shipped). Can Galaxias be integrated with the TR-8S or other Roland hardware that's compatible?
Glad to help! You can connect your TR-8S to any layer of GALAXIAS with a drum machine on it and get full control! You can use the TR-8S sequencer and physical controls to interact directly with the TR-808, TR-909, TR-606, and so on, in GALAXIAS. And you can also send patterns back and forth between some of the instruments and the TR-8S. We're always considering further integration as well. Have fun!

You can have Scenes that only use ZENOLOGY (or four of them), no problem. No direct import/export with FANTOM though at this time.

It's that and so much more! You can instantly browse and search across all 22,000 sounds across all 30+ instruments. You can filter, sort, search keywords, instrument types, packs, and so on. Once you find the sounds you want, you can stack up to four instruments and/or drum machines. You can mix with effects. You can assign macro control to groups of parameters across all the loaded instruments and effects and so on. You can save these creations as Scenes that you can recall and play anytime. You can even load up multiple Scenes into Setlists which allow you to seamlessly switch Scenes with no glitches and with Scene remain so you hear sustained notes and effect tails. And soon, you'll be able to use it as a plug-in as well.

A question. You've released the EX firmware for the Fantom. Why it's so expansive for Ultimate users and also for N/Zyme owners ? Why Roland don't make different prices ? What's the advantage to be a good Roland user ? Idem for Galaxias, the only advantage to be an Ultimate user is to test it during one month. Roland must change the vision you have for people who are good clients ! I love Roland, I have plenty of Roland synths, old, new gears, more than 60 machines and when I see the way you treat the fidelity, it's a little bit unpleasant !

@@rolandglobal i took your cloud OFF of my computer, after i installed the latest editor update for my TR8s because the cloud keeps forgetting my password, and my system1 vst kept not being recognized by the cloud as authorized, so i don't use it anymore. it's should be a crime that you don't have an editor for the MC101/707 other than this zencore VST you want to charge me another couple hundred dollars for!
i don't WANT the internet on my production computer, it's nothing but a distraction, so your Cloud is NO for me! I pass on any software that requires to have an internet connection, it's LAME!

What is the point of this if it isn't a plugin for your DAW??
There are many uses to a standalone application such as live and studio performance. However, plug-in support is on the way and will be available very soon.
@@rolandglobal Most people will use this as a plugin though. I mean, all I really care about with the Roland instruments is decent preset libraries and sorting to be honest. Maybe this will be addressed in GALAXIAS once it's available as a plugin.

It’s a shame this is just for cloud ultimate subscribers. I have 8 individual lifetime keys from a few years of ultimate membership and some packs and no longer need to subscribe and.. apparently it’s not for me. Surely this should just be a wrapper for those of us with cloud accounts and shows and lets us use what we already own?

Many Roland Cloud instruments experience issues on Mac M1 computers
Is there anyway to buy this outright? I refuse to pay for a subscription. Thats way too much money to be paying. Id rather pay once, have forever.

A musical instrument that doesn't take up space, and then a man who doesn't take up space? I'm human not a hologram. This development is degressive. There is a difference between blowing a whistle and looking at it on a PC.

Plugins will never replace the real things.
The problem with these plugins today is not everyone has the newest computer.
With music you don’t have to have the newest most up to date software. Just a daw that suits your preference. I will never buy waves plugins ever again because they it to where all their newer plugins require Metal compatibility graphics cards which is retarded because it’s audio. It has nothing to do with video cards. But to have a metal compatible Mac you have to have a new one cuz the old Mac Pros don’t go any higher anymore due to the new OS also requires the stupid GPU metal compatibility.
Can you tell me if this bundle will run on a Mac running High Sierra?
