There's a mod named "Creeper no Break Blocks" for version 1.20.1 and .2, like the name implies, creeper no longer break blocks, i have yet to know its compatibility with other mods but the name sounds promising enough. It only have like 15k downloads.
I aint gonna travel back to my base, grab some dirt, then return just to patch up some creeper holes.
