The most impressing moment was the relationship between his teammate and his kids. I didn't expect this. I'll miss him!
I also liked the short conversation with Lewis it also makes me appreciate Lewis a bit more
@@Lars._ lewis is an awesome and down to earth guy, this vid is proof that he isn't like that only on camera
Wow. A heart of F1.
F1 didn’t include any moments with Sebastian? I’m sure they must have been some interaction.
@@hazikaiyan5903 I see your point, but your logic failed you. This is literally on camera and thus cannot be proof that he isn't only like this on camera xD
Antonio is important to those kids. He's family. Plus Kimi saying twice "have a safe trip home" in a dad/older brother tone, because he really cares. I had a tear in my eyes.
Yes he say it with eyes wide open
Antonio is like an uncle to them
Really shows how much of a friend they were to each other
I had tears too mate
Not only that, but you can hear Kimi actually LAUGHING at the end there, we all know Kimi has a golden heart, and a tough exterior... Im a new fan to the sport, but I will be a Kimi fan forever
The moment with Antonio and the kids and also the moment with Lewis was heartwarming and emotional , this man is an absolute legend .
Kimi Raikkonen just gonna watch Nijigasaki High School Idol Club doing FASTER. THAN. YOU. IN 2022.
I just could swear that Kimi was almost about to say "who are you, again?" to Lewis. Lol
Lewis saw cameras filming and had to act nice
@@CJMattias lewis is a respectful person all the time not just on camera
@@CJMattias i feel sorry for you
I know this is about Kimi, but such a class act by Antonio. His last race with the team and all he wants to talk about is Kimi and how honored he is to be his teammate.
Duh, that's one of his idols. Everybody would react like that if you had the chance to drive with one of your favorite drivers from childhood.
@@baldGUYYY Still it was also his last race in the sport.
Gio is one of the unsung heros of F1
WHAT MAZEPIN IS DOING
Agreed
Seeing Kimi interact with Antonio and his family is so wholesome, great moment with Lewis too.
F1 just won’t be the same without the Iceman.
Without Antonio too unfortunately
This year Fernando and Seb 😪
In a couple of years Lewis 😓...
Its all coming to an end . All the goosebumps moments , rivalries , fanfights ... everything is running on the final lap .
@@ananthu8534 you really think Seb and Fernando will retire this year? ;(
@@ananthu8534 Who said Fernando and Seb are leaving? Seb definitely not
@@danterodriguez2610 Fernando? No, F1 is his life..he tasted 2 years of not racing and driving in the midfield seems better for him than not driving at all. Sebastian on the other hand has said numerous times that hes in F1 to win, if he cant do that anymore then hes gone. Vettel has a wife and 3 kids unlike Fernando, so he has plenty of things to care about outside of racing. If that Aston Martin doesnt win a race or becomes a multiple podium finisher this season then hes going..unless he finds a seat somewhere better, like RedBull/Mercedes/Mclaren (I personally hope for a retirement at Ferrari, win a race or 2 with them and finish it relatively in style - red just suits him the best, I cant help myself)
The sad thing is that most people will remember him for the memes and not for his masterclass driving

The Spanish curse of Ferrari :/
Can we all just talk about how heartwarming it was to see Kimi say goodbye to Antonio and how much Antonio obviously loves Kimi's kids? So sweet. Such an underrated pair and its a friendship that looks like it will continue even though they aren't teammates anymore!
The bromance we didn't know we had
They will Always be Team mates. They're there for each other on & Off the circuit
He took part in ⅓ of the races ever conducted in F1
(349 out of 1057: which is exactly 33%)
That is crazy!
Sigma move
Well it's partly explained by the fact that they used to drive less races further back in F1 history. He took part in 19 of the 72 F1 seasons ever held. Which is about 26%, over 1 in 4 seasons. Very impressive never the less
@@jokuvaan5175 exactly, older seasons had less races. Right now it's normal for us to watch F1 week by week at many countries around the world. Well back them it wasn't the case 😅
Seeing Kimi interact with Antonio and his family is so wholesome, I’m gonna miss him so much.
Antonio is one of few people that can make Kimi laugh
@lebomoro well I never said Antonio is the only one. Im just saying it is very few, and surprisingly Antonio is one of them.
We need Kimi as president of FIA, he will give a flying duck about what teams ask and would proritize pure racing for sure
Hear, hear!
Absolutely! Him and Seb should be in the race control, they're have such a deep knowledge of the sport
Totto: "Okay Kimmi, I've just sent you an email..."
Kimmi: "For what?!"
Totto: "To show you where the cars should be at the..."
Kimmi: "Leave me alone!".
Kimi 4 president!
I doubt he will tolerate reckless racing antics from driver for the sake of racing. He was disadvantaged by Hamilton's early antics, he knows firsthand the borders of fair racing. FIA should appoint drivers as race directors and be led by drivers, so this year with Mohammed is a breath of fresh air.
12:12 I just can't hold my tears anymore 😭 he and his family treats Antonio so well
Antonio is now kimi's eldest son. 🤣
There are only 2 persons in F1 with whom Kimi is friends with: Seb and Gio.
I remember that Kimi (and Timo Glock) were the only ones that support Seb in the sport because everyone else thought he was too young and unexperienced. Why? Because Kimi had the same experience before.
@@maxmuller4551 Well Mark Arnall went straight from training Senna to Kimi if I remember correctly. Mark Arnall is literally like family, he's probably hands down THE closest person to Kimi's family without being directly family.
@@GItoKeG Didn't Mark go from Häkkinen to Kimi?
@@qlcrane8019 My mistake he was a trainer to other drivers after that. I read Kimi's book awhile ago so I remembered that wrong.
The real Kimi can be seen with the heartfelt goodbye with Antonio.
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!

*WE* are crying
The legend like no other
349 races and not a single time I remember of him racing someone unfairly. A class act inside the track, and a man of few words outside. Great content with Antonio. They both will be missed.
The last shot of the video is so great. Reminds me that everything, regardless how marvelous or memorable it is, comes to an end. Kiitos Kimi, wish you and your family all the best.

Kimi telling Antonio to have a safe trip home like it is his responsibility is really heartwarming.
Other than Vettel, I really think Kimi enjoyed driving alongside Antonio. Seeing him laughing with him, making sure he gets home safe, and hanging around with him after the race was nice to see. Shame we don’t get to see them racing alongside each other another year. Thank you for everything Kimi, you’re a legend.
last race for ferrari, engine failure
last race for alfa romeo and forever, brake failure

Kind of a story of his career 😂. I mean, luck with the equipment durability wasn't on his side for sure.
“It’s sort of like a hobby for me I can stop if want to”
Kimi Raikonen
What a legend
People that only hear his race radio messages and interviews that say he’s ‘rude’ and ‘doesn’t care’ and how they ‘would hate a teammate like that’ but that last clip with Antonio shows how humble and caring he is behind the scenes, Kimi is the reason I got into F1 and the only reason I stayed watching, it’s not gonna be the same without him, I watched a lot of people from sports and racing retire but Kimi’s retirement is definitely the saddest, wish him and his family all the best and I hope we see him make a few guest appearances in the future! Grande Kimi, grande
I feel exactly the same as you. Back 2003, I used to hear his name in the news as a challenge for Schumacher, so I started watching F1 since, and it has been an emotional rollercoaster that I can't put into words. The retirement situation he is in, is really sad as you said, and knowing Kimi's body language after he got out of the car, I can easily read that he's frustrated by the car.
I think because English isn't Kimi's first language he can in some ways get away with sounding harsh or rude. He only learned English in his late teens early 20s.
@@andrewthomson91 Well most Fins are pretty direct, no BS.
I've never heard or seen a single person say any of these about Kimi. Pure bait comment.
It seems that Antonio really likes Kimi and his family which is not typical for F1. Respect to both of ‘em.
It's not seems, it's real Kimi is like Antonio's big brother, Kimi really likes him like he likes Vettel

Somehow Kimi retiring from his last race now seems a fitting way to end his career. No big send off, no donuts, just a quiet slipping away into the night. Maybe that's how he wanted it to be.
After watching this, I think Antonio deserves his own clip.
Thank you for the memories, Kimi and Antonio!
Antonio is such a nice guy
Cried in the end. Hope they will have a lot of pizza at Antonio's house in Italy
Kimi's legacy: don't try to be other than yourself, don't live for somebody else, live for yourself.

Honestly Kimi talking to Antonio was so nice and sweet it brought a tear to my eye.
He is loved because he is the only one who constantly stayed true to himself. He was there only to race and then go home to his family and friends. Kimi is a life philosophy.
"Have a safe trip back home, OK" He really mean it!!!
Kimi, you are the best!!!
Kimi was one true racer, the last of his kind!! Kimi is often known for his radio messages & hilarious one liners. But people forget that he was a beast @his prime, Undoubtedly the fastest man on the grid.

😣 seeing how Antonio and Kimi are close is so cool to see
Thank you for making this footage available! Kimi has been an inspiration for me since I started watching F1 properly back in 2003. He nearly beat the master, just fell short The 2005 season was legendary (esp Japan), though frustrating for a Kimi fan. That qualifying session at the 2006 Italian GP (pole by 0.002 sec). Then came 2007 and we finally got to see him become a deserved WC. The amazing 2008 Spanish GP weekend. The improbable win at the 2009 Belgian GP and 2012 Abu Dhabi GP. The relaxed 2013 Aus GP win. And the final amazing 2018 US GP triumph. Seems as if it was yesterday! Salute to the champion Kimi Raikkonen..
Just praising that the kids treat Antonio like an uncle, so heartwarming
“Call me when you arrive home” Kimi was so real and there will never bee another driver likee him🖤
I feel like this is the first time we've seen the real Kimi. You can tell how much he cares for his friends and family, and what a gentleman he is. I did shed a tear when he said goodbye to Antonio, and when Ferrari thanked him with the model F2007. Stunning video.
You've only seen nothing but Kimi during 19 years, no act. People were just reductive with him.
I was expecting this on Netflix. It would have definitely been an awesome episode of Drive to Survive. Especially the end with the kids and the show of warm relationship with Antonio was really wholesome.
Drive to Survive is yet to be released about the 2021 season
@@LespaulMr Yup, but the point is that this is DTS material, not so much what you would necessarily expect on the official F1 channel.

And Giovinazzi... wow, such a gentleman.
He left the paddock with dignity, smiling, without explosive declarations or bitterness and with the appreciation of "The Ice Cubes" ❤
9:24 beautiful moment between two legends
Agreed, and he wished him luck
People can say what they want about Lewis. He is definately a masterclass of a chad. Im happy he still is driving a F1 car after all these years. Now that Vettel leaves as well... F1 is becoming a bit more "empty" one at a time and when Lewis leaves it will truly be an end of an era... Not just for him, but for F1 in general.
12:34 what a way to end it. Look how nice & caring he is when living his personal life outside of the F1-circus. That last scene was wholesome. We miss you Rockstar 🥺 Forever my childhood racing hero.

As much as Kimi brought to the sport and as much as I personally enjoyed his presence on the grid, that scene with Antonio and the kids left me with an “I get it” moment.
