- Want to learn more about the interesting machines that took humans motoring over snow? Then enjoy this story about the 1926 Fordson Snow Motor.
This unusual "Snow Devil," which is on loan to us from the Pioneer Air Museum, attracts attention from around the world. In the video, you can see it in action, too. You'll see how the machines were very slow and tremendous gas pigs. We have a photo from the expedition that brought them to the Arctic in the museum, as well as footage of a Snow-Motor pulling one of the expedition planes.

Just went to the mining museum in Butte today and checked the snow motor out. Be an interesting restore project.

They look really tall and top heavy. I'd be worried about one side sinking and laying on its side
Lots of parts missing? I agree, the fenders are still missing. They should paint the rollers 2 colors, get an effect while moving like a barber pole. And put a snow-blower up front, be very useful then I reckon.
