I made a few little tweaks. The front of mine is 4 ancient debris and 2 glow stone so I can see what is going on. Simple changes that just light up the place. Still figuring out either how to automate this one, or make it ride-able so I can run it with an afk account.
In 1.21 you can save ancient debris by keeping it as 3 ancient debris and swapping out the 3 building blocks for lit copper bulbs, which have a blast resistance high enough to not get blown up by the tnt
Materials list Start mechanism: 1 Note block 3 Observers 2 Pistons 6 Slime blocks 1 Sticky pistons 1 Solid block Modules: 3*x Ancient debris 1*x Coral 1*x Detector rail 1*x Minecart chest 2*x Observers 4*x Pistons 3*x Redstone blocks 2*x Slabs 7*x Slime blocks 4*x Solid blocks 2*x Stikcy pistons 1*x TNT 1*x Wall Where x = amount of modules you want :) I would suggest gathering 2 extra slime blocks and 1 redstone block (To move the minecart on the last module) Also, I built this way high up, since there aren't any lava lakes or ravines, that would ruin the whole mechanism. If the TNT doesn't dupe and you have a Paper server, just try changing the server config to allow TNT duping, since they patched it. Good luck.
IF YOUR TNT IS LAUNCHING ON AT A TIME READ THIS. so theres the bit that slides over that has the on slime and two pistons that communicates to the whole thing when to go so double check that the seccond one (that you build) is not inline with the tnt duper otherwise youll have problems
for anyone in 1.21 trying this and its not working read this first: when you're extending the tunnel bore there's the slime block with the sticky piston and piston that are linking everything up with the noteblock, place the redstone block on the sticky piston LAST
blew myself up and lost all my netherite tools and armor with a chain reaction, 100 recomend you not to try to automate this by yourself :), great video btw
Hey, i built this far underground and built like 20 of them, and i ran into a problem. When the bore does its thing, mobs spawn and thus I have to clear them every time. When I try to place a lightsource like shroomlight insted of 1 block behind the debris, it breaks every 3-5 explosions. is there a way to add light, without breaking the machine. The mob switch isnt an option
You can put a glowstone block instead of one of the first building blocks that are before the 3 ancient debris to always see what's in front of the tunnel bore. (it sometimes breaks the glowstone so maybe replace it with a better thing than glowstone like the new copper bulb etc.) Awesome vid!
@@DeltaKnightDany My bad, didn't see that. But copper bulbs are the only light source with enough blast resistance, and those are only in 1.21. I think if you have 5 blocks between each TNT launcher, it won't blow up glowstone.
if you want to use honey instead of slime blocks, every block of slime can be replaced with a honey block except for the first one that this guy places (same thing for each module, the block above the dead coral)

I build one module and it dupes a TNT shoots how it should but then it activates the tnt again without duping or shooting it away and it destroys the machine. normal tnt dupers work fine
erm im on java 1.21 (neoforge but no content mods just performance) single player and it only moves once after clicking the note block (can dothis as many times as is i want, like it aint broken but), is that intended? i thought this would be one that keeps going automatically
i just made this, but the coral just breaks and does not move. this makes that the tnt gets launched but not duped. How do i prevent the coral from breaking? Edit: it might be a server issue since this works in my single player world

I built a lot of them.. i am running into the problem where one of the blocks behind the ancient debris will just vanish. completely at random it seems.. the 10th one will do it or the 14th one will. any ideas?
It will still operate, but it will destroy the minecart. It might also destroy the building blocks if they are flammable, and possibly destroy the rail or something like the coral

the second borer i made is slightly delayed, and I don't know why. This is causing the first tnt to push the second tnt a bit, and breaking my shroom lights.

sorry about the bad english. i've used the machine first in nether to get netherite and worked perfectly. So i builded this in overworld and i don't how the tnt dups one time and launch forward and the original tnt explodes too. It's happening something likely this with someone here?
i think in servers like this you have to enable tnt duping through a paper-global.yml file or something similar, go to unsupported settings, and enable each line in the unsupported settings by changing "false" to "true". might be wrong, worth a shot.

I'd sometimes get a TNT that just so slightly doesn't get far enough and breaks the first building block, so I'd use 4 ancient debris and 2 building blocks. Also in the activation system that one observer near the Redstone block is useless

I love this, I have one working perfectly deep down in my mines. I'm trying to build a 2nd higher up to go in another direction, but that one the tnt doesn't trigger. Rebuilt it several times and I can't see whats wrong.
This design is great, took a few tries to get it right as i had misplaced a few blocks but overall works well. Only question is if anyone knows a way to make it so it could be activated from either end? It gets to a point that it becomes annoying having to run back and forth constantly to trigger it each time

I hooked up 5 modules in the nether to go ancient debris mining but ran into a problem. In the video it show all of the tnt going off at once, mine goes off in a chain, closets to farthest, each time one explodes it moves the next one over a little bit. This makes it move the next one even farther over. It then blows up the blocks behind the ancient debris. Does anyone know why this is happening? Edit: After messing around with your design I got it to work, came back here and watched the sped up part in .25x speed and saw you actually did the same thing. 🤣
I have a big question, and I'd love it if you would answer Is there anyway that you can make a video or explain to me how I can make a activator button on both sides so I don't have to run over, and back again? Edit: Yes, a normal minecart works fine. You can also have 6 blocks between each bore with noe problem :) Does it *have to* be a minecart **chest**, or is a regular minecart good enough?
it doesn't matter if you have. I test ran the first module before building more modules, I just copied the first module exactly how it looked like at that moment (it looks a little bit different than in the beginning).
it's manual and thats a good thing. since you usually build several modules you activate it, run/fly across and mine all the diamonds with fortune III, then activate it again. if it was fully automatic the tnt would blow up the diamonds and could get stuck/destroy itself in water/lava/gravel
you definitely should NOT have fast forwarded through building the second bore. it took rewatching the video several times to realize that the second bore was not in line with the sticky piston, slime block, and piston

Maybe try placing the light source 2 or 3 blocks behind the ancient debris

it's better to be manual. if it was automatic it would destroy the diamonds before you can collect them and would break when it hits lava/water/gravel

Yeah it might be lag can't you replace the blocks that is braking with ancient debris that might fix it for you

the slime block isnt supposed to stay, its a temp block to place the piston is all @@rs37_
i think its due to the signal only lasting for 1 tick. sticky pistons spit out their blocks if the signal is too short

maybe use cobblestone it doesnt blow up for me you might be using some blocks with low blast resistance

it might be because you are in a paper server and if you are you need to change a value in the files to enable tnt duping

Terrible idea. As soon as you hit a lava pool it'll destroy the machine. You need to do it manually to clean up lava or move the machine.

No the chest is just for storage and the tnt gets duplicated
