Mrs. Violet, as an old Oncology nurse, the mediport your son has should be fine. Sometime they lay against the vein wall. I just absolutely LOVE the ducks in the hospital 😂❤. When your stressed out, as I know you are, just give it up to GOD sista..hugs

Your young man is a true Warrior. I did IVIG it was so ooo painful as the drip got faster. In th end I unfortunately got nothing, no difference in a year of infusions. We will try platelets exchange next. I'm leaning on God. Be strong Landon! You rOck.
I had a chance to surprise my dad like that twice. I got him his first set of golf clubs its been 60 years ago now. And i also got him a sweatshirt with the name and information oabout the ship he served on in ww2. He cried both times. Your father will never forget this surprise. And either will you. It's always great to see Landon running and feeling good after his infusion. My daughter's port gives us the same issue sometimes. Flushes great but won't give blood return. They think sometimes there's like a flap that forms at the bottom that prevents from pulling back. We went 2 months with it acting up but a different nurse finally got it & she didn't have the needle half way in, when there's push it all the way in. That was so exciting for your dad ❤️ it being so personal, it's something he'll never forget. And your cinnamon rolls look delicious

We just found out that our son has MS. Plus he tested positive for JC virus. He’s a carrier but doesn’t actually have it. If it actually gets JC he has 6 months to live. Monday he starts his 5 days of infusions of steroids. Then he will start infusions for the MS meds. So hopefully he does great and can start feeling better. Been following your son’s progress. Makes me hopeful with our son. Thankful for modern medicine!

Ivig is hard, I have to be heavily medicated with anti nausea and benadryl during my infusions. Tough on me as an adult I'm impressed with Landon! Way to go

Hi Jessica! I've never commented but been watching for a long while. I'm thrilled to watch Landon's progress. I have a Landon too! My eldest has a very similar neuro-autoimmune disorder and was on high dose IVIG and rituxumab from 2016 just until this past August. It was scary weaning down after so many years. We've had speed bumps and I would not say we reached 100% remission but it's been so nice getting our lives back somewhat. Do you notice Landon having setbacks when exposed to illness? We often were sent into flares due to various viruses, etc.. that we caught. I totally understand the caregiver fatigue you go through and how important even a week makes for the patient and mom to have extra down time from medical appts and procedures :) I've been trying to keep up with all your family's recent videos. I'm so glad your dad was well enough to make the trip to walk Heidi down the aisle. I love that you found something to brighten your dad's day! I pray for continued health for Landon and your dad! You are looking great! You always do but you are glowing and so happy! Blessings to you all.

I did home care for years and did infusions. I did several IVIG patients. I hope Landon does great! I hope the port does well!

Go Landon - it’s so hard to deal with illnesses and know the difference that treatment and meds make. Currently using insulin about 1.2 mls a day
