    Thor has recalled this model to lift the rear to give more ground clearance. Just had mine completed. Make sure this is completed prior to delivery.

      We had the recall done too just recently. they said something about springs. waiting to get my hands on some pictures of what the recall should actually look like so I can compare.

    I just bought mine for every day travel , I have a son with Autism I hope it helps me get out more and enjoy doing things outside my home ,the transition to new environments is hard we may have to sit in it for hours if he has a melt down . I have owned vans and actually own a small rv that we love for far travels , I am also hoping to share with my family .

    Anyone have bug screen issues? Mine has one grommet off by like 1.5” so I have to send it back. Thor is super helpful though so far. I’d love you to ,are a video of your cabinet organization b/c the struggle is REAL LOL.

      @TatesTravel  2 года назад

      We sent ours back as well. I learned later they put it on backwards and our new one fits great now that I installed it properly!

    We also have a similar rig (Rize 18M) and are using a hitch mounted carrier with a large black fiberglass box. We already had this equipment from past rigs so I didn't want to spend another $800 for a swing out carrier box which would be nice. We also have a small screenroom that we attach to the side of the rig to give the appearance of a larger space that fits in the box.

    Great video! While boondocking, How long can you run the generator and roof AC continuous in hot weather say 100 degrees outside? I’m thinking of getting one to live out of in Florida where it’s really hot. And what is the gas mileage?

    • @TatesTravel
      @TatesTravel  Год назад

      I only run mine two three hours. As long as you have gasoline in van, think ours may shut of when fuel gage 1/4 as a safety. You can use the aP to have it kick on when you want. Depends what you set the temp on and how hot it is. We have camped some hot spots in Florida. We open all windows and doors sometimes get breeze. There is a fan towards cockpit that u can turn on suck all the hot air hot works pretty good. You may opt for a fan too at times. As for gas mileage our van is a V6, 24 gallon tank, so about 17mtogallon? I’ve been driving slower like speed limit lol and enjoying the trips better.

    Which bathmat did you order? I have same rig and ordered like 18x23 maybe. Waiting on it. Did you find bins that fit? My shelves keep collapsing argh lol.

      Factory issues. The dealership was the dissatisfaction. We’ve. Had it since Sept 2021.

      Thor was awesome can’t say enough about the woman I called. I got lucky at a camper show and got some numbers to corporate, she was fantastic in helping and communicating! The dealership um no…

    Thanks for the info. Im looking to buy my first camper van. Not sure between the scope 18m and the tellaro. If I have a guest with me will the scope be too small for sleeping?

    • @TatesTravel
      @TatesTravel  2 года назад +1

      My wife and I have plenty room. We have taken our grandson along and we fit but it’s a battle to keep his feet out of our faces because he moves all over and often sleeps sideways lol! There are new cots and ideas for a cot or mattress type thing that goes across the captains chairs. We are looking into this for when we bring Charlie with us.

    Thinking about the same B Van but worry about the small bed, what do you think?

    • @TatesTravel
      @TatesTravel  3 года назад +2

      Depends on how many are going? We did a video on three of us going camping locally, with me, Amy and our grandson. it worked out fine. when its just me and Amy it works out well, plenty of room, very roomy in fact. You just got to pick the right direction to lay your head, to the back or front! LOL. Its very comfortable for us so far! We haven't needed to buy extra padding or anything. Thanks for you comment, wish you a Happy New Year!

    Is there a quick disconnect for the propane on the passenger side?

    • @TatesTravel
      @TatesTravel  3 года назад +1

      Good question! I should know right? I'm going to find out. I know there is a switch outside to turn it on and off, and where you get it filled. I believe there is a regulator I could disconnect??? I'm going to find out. I will let you know. Happy New Year!

    how do u use generator? i read about generator and was scary

    • @TatesTravel
      @TatesTravel  2 года назад +1

      Naw it’s intimidating at first but simple. There’s a control panel just inside the slide door. U find where it says Generator start, press, hold, let go and a few seconds later it will start up. Wait a couple more minutes after running you should here a beep inside letting you know u can kick the air on or use the microwave. But one or the other not same time unless plugged into electric! It will run as long as you have gas in the chassi tank!

    Most people end up liking the cassette toilet. You can dump any where.

    • @TatesTravel
      @TatesTravel  3 года назад +1

      I agree. I was a bit worried at first, then it was easy to take care of as long as you set it in there right when your putting it back in. Did have an overflow once, wasn't fun, but didn't make that mistake twice I assure you. thanks for the comment.

  • @flippinsouthflorida8064
    @flippinsouthflorida8064 3 года назад +8

    The cassette toilet is actually very clean and easy to empty in public park restrooms. Liquids only is best practice. The toilet actually turns as well so it provides more standing room.

      Yes. we have been sticking to # 1s not to be too gross. LOL. but it is handy when there is nothing around for sure! it isn't hard to keep clean!
