I love how Mark gives absolutely zero shits about the Stoat. Everyone else tends to go out of their way to sacrifice another card on the board, but Mark just completely tosses it into death.

This man knows deep down inside that the stoat is some ass lol

@@PartytimeYOLO I'm positive the only reason Oroborous is in the game is so that when you have the puzzle requirements you can actually experience the rest of the game.

Marks learning curve, going from never drawing squirrels and complaining he can't play anything to the absolutely OP strat of squirrel with magpie sigil plus infinicat with 3 blood sigil plus continuously sacrificing the ouroboros is just wild.
Watching this playthrough at first was PAINFUL because of his lack of strategy. Now it’s just kind of like. Huh.. how is he even doing this
@@Sillymodezeenith If you see this game as a Card Game than a front for a mystery game, you'd come up with strats

@@Sillymodezeenith I’m just lost lmao, also is that a flag in ur pfp?
Mark is going to cover the fucking wall in winning cards before he uses the knife
wait, is that the key?
We need to get this comment to the top-
He’s used the knife on his eye before and nothing happened so he’s probably not gonna think to use it again
@@peachespj7129 yeah i dont know why people are saying he hasn’t used it. maybe it has to be used in a puzzle or something to progress?
@@peachespj7129 True that.
So I have played this game myself, if you use the knife too early, nothing happens, it just adds weight to the scale. But after a certain point, using the knife will enable you to reveal secrets inside the cabin.
Just when I thought his undying squirrel thing was the most broken thing ever and losing it is just gonna get him stuck again, he goes on and creates an even more broken strat with the ouroboros. Simply genius! This series has me hooked! Can't wait to see more!
While the ouroboros is certainly broken, it still costs 2 blood, and you need to get it first. If Mark had stopped at simply an overleveled ouroboros, he wouldn't have swept everything so easily. Now, an overleveled ouroboros, squirrels that let you pick any card from your deck, and an infinite sacrificial cat with enough blood for anything other than Urayuli...
And to make matters worse/better, he gave his ouroboros essentially double damage. A couple more levels, and it could have one-shot the moon.
If he chose the undying mole, or gave undying to a blood cost creature, he’d have a (semi) infinite loop by sacrificing Oro with the undying then sacrifice the undying for Oro
@@wyvern107 we don't need ouro in this house. We here worship geck

@@Lofi.z34 probably because you didnt get through the levels fast enough? idk
Almost as if it's an intended gag or something!
Also his name is leshy
Leshy cheats all the time. He plays cards without paying the blood cost and pulls some zany shit during his boss fights. The stoat and Mark both call him out on it in the first episode. :P
The “child 13” card is the jersey devil- created when a mother became pregnant with her 13th child and said her child would be cursed; the devil’s child. when she gave birth the baby grew horns and cloven hooves as well as wings. idk if that’s meaningful to the game but just wanted to say that for anyone interested
Ooo thanks for the info
When sacrificed 13 times in one game, it turns into a different card called the “Hungry Child”, which has no attack or defence, which most people think is a reference to the early version of inscryption named “sacrifices must be made”. One of the cards there was named the hungry child. It returns back to child 13 in the next round.
@@Sly-Moose can I ask how this is incest?
@@original_demonic Oh wait- I misread op's comment. I thought it said "the mother became pregnant FROM her 13th child," not with. 😅 My bad. Man, I need some sleep.

Same
yeah i got the game because of his let's play to be honest, and i wasn't dissapointed its a very good game!
It’s because the game tells him how to progress using hints. And then he completely ignores it. If he acknowledged what he needed to do but made it clear he wanted to dick around more, people wouldn’t be upset. But watching someone act like a dense idiot isn’t pleasant for a lot of people.
the game gets better when you move past the first THIRD of it lmao
Agreed. A lot of the playthroughs I tried to watch would always skip past the fun card game playing parts.
But seeing every bit of Mark's adventure is a lot more fun than watching someone do all the secrets.

Hint for the fire.
If you allow the survivors to eat a venomous card like the adder, they will die and no longer show up later in your playthrough, allowing you to heat up a card for as long as possible
It's not cards with venom, it's specific cards. It works with the adder, ringworm, and long elk but not with cards that you added the venom sigil to.
Allow me to ask, but when do you meet the criteria to allow you to risk doubling down on a campfire. I blasted through act 1 never dying to anything besides scripted grizzly rushes. At no point at a campfire was I allowed to double down, so when does that option appear? I’m sad I didn’t get to try this
@@donovanjoseph737 As in Mark’s playthrough, you just need to go through 3-4ish (I think) runs during Act 1.

Yeah, Leshy might be about as psycho as the rest of them, but he's defs got a gift for the dramatic. And he's still _trying_ to make things fun. He just wants it to be... _his_ kind of fun! (Willing participation optional)
"Hm, taking a stern look, all of these delightful boons might be throwing off the challenge I aspired for,

Hey Mark, the ring worm's actually really good for two reasons. First, if you feed it to the survivors at a campfire, every campfire in that run afterwards will be deserted, and you can upgrade your cards freely. Second, the ring worm counts as a ring, so for the trial of the ring at the end of a run, it's an instant success if you have one in your deck.
I hope he sees this
That’s kind of funny, in a messed up way
That’s really op but I don’t think mark reads the comments on puzzle type videos so noting get spoiled.

@@Anthintendo yeah, admittedly, I discovered it by accident. I got a ring worm because I wanted to know why it was good. @@Secret_Takodachi Honestly, I've not beaten act 2 yet so I don't know how the rest of the game progresses, but I really prefer the act 1 version of the card game more than act 2.

15 minute video on my channel of me just level grinding my Ouroboros to 420, but I have gotten it all the way up to 681 before I got too bored. Also, the RING WORM is used at the campfire. You will eventually get the choice to risk your card getting eaten in exchange for another stat increase. You can use the ring worm, and if they eat it, every campfire from that point on within that run will always give you 4 stat increases for free since the survivors died from your ring worm. Edit: Nevermind this comment.
@Southy567 you can use the ring worm, adder or my personal favorite the long elk, it CANT be a card that had the instakill sigil added tho it has to be one of those three
@@dahgahz The mushrooms are probably just a reference to the mycologist, they don't appear to do anything as far as I can tell. The bone lord's skull in the main cabin is also a mystery. Mark : "What does the ring worm do ?"
Practically nothing, it is only useful if you warm it multiple times by the fires of survivor camps, and if it gets snatched and eaten, the survivors will die due to the ring worm and will not be there to eat your creatures anymore, this effect also includes The Deadly Adder and The Long Elk, The Ring Worm also classifies as a Ring in the trials at the start of Leshy's battle
I didn't know the adder and long elk did that too.
@@thinkinginsidethebox6552 any animal that has natural poison like the adder and long elk can kill the survivors. The Ring Worm is an exception to this because it is a parasite and doesn't have poison but instead eats the survivors from the inside out, rupturing their bowels and multiplying in their feces
"We could make this geck unkillable for infinite resources,"
Mark's OP cat: Am I a joke to you?
The cat isn’t an infinite shield like the geck though
Also, the cat costs 1 blood, whereas the geck is free
I would sacrifice the cat to the geck if possible
Sadly the cat has a sacrifice limit of 9 times, and doesnt generate bones.
Unkillable Geck has no sacrifice limit, generates bones and returns to hand
If he had just gone with the unkillable mole as well, he could have grabbed the mole, the geck, and the oroboros... and had an infinite stacking oroboros.
I just realized the ultimate combo for this game, try to get oroboros, and basically give it the abilities of the ant queen as well as the warren, so that when you summon it, you get a rabbit and a worker ant in your hand, summon the worker ant and sacrifice oroboros which puts it back in your hand, summon the rabbit and then sacrifice the ant and rabbit to summon oroboros which gives you another worker ant and rabbit, and basically do this on loop until you get like frickin 200 damage in your oroboros.
have you tested this yet / has anyone?
@@jjjamie3935 I’m not entirely sure. Based on the mechanics of the abilities it should work. Unless there’s like an upper limit to the stats which there probably is, but even then it would still be op
He could have done it, he got a 1 blood cost undying creature offered but didn't take it
