  • After surpassing passenger records in the first quarter of 2024, London’s Heathrow Airport is expecting its “busiest summer on record.”
About 84.2 million passengers are projected to travel through the airport - the largest in the U.K.- this year despite a looming workers' strike, it said in a news release on Wednesday.
Heathrow has already been seeing higher than typical traffic in 2024, with about 18.5 million passengers travelling through the airport in the first quarter.
As summer season approaches, Canadians may be planning their summer vacations. But they might think twice about travelling through the major airport with its struggle to meet demand in recent years.
    Global's Naomi Barghiel reports.

Huge demand for travel these days. Life is short and we only get one chance at it so it's great living in a country where people are free to travel and have enough money to do so
