    Amargadhi is a municipality and the district headquarter of Dadeldhura District in Sudurpashchim Province of western Nepal. It was named after Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa who fought in the Gorkha war between 1814 and 1816,
    The Amargadhi Killa also called as Amargadhi fort named after the brave warrior Amar Singh Thapa. The name itself glorifies the meaning of being immortal of being as the history revives with the passing generation. The famous quote from him is displayed in the fort, "I am the cub of a tiger don't mistaken me for dog who feeds on carcass." This fort was built to continue the unification of Nepal in the western region of Nepal.
