Hahahah omg yes!!
Yes!!! Lol
Dope or nope is cool too! 🥺😤
Don’t worry guys. I love the original dope or nope and I’m a fan of that channel too!
But the Queen If Salt deserves her own thing. Not dope or nope, but cash or trash!
Salt of no salt.. that is the question
the numbers on the clay does NOT mean amount, it means color. The numbers for things like that ALWAYS mean color.
😭😭 I was innocent in my observations
@@nerdecrafter No worries, we have all been there! (at some point in our life with something) Your perfectly fine, and now we all know for the future!
Fairy Floss good I was wondering what those meant
Oh so two pieces of number 24 color
Thanks i just got some stuff from wish and i had rembered the numbers thing and im pretty sure its going be thw right one
your comparison to sophie and tophies resin should have included the shipping which still would have made wish a lot cheaper then them, quality is a different story
Little Ruby Rue I was going to say the same thing! ;)
I get the same resin on eBay but in a bigger bottle, honestly if you are looking for a cheaper option that’s the way to go. I haven’t seen it crack like that before but once cured and left to cool it’s actually pretty strong
Not really, I checked that shipping for 60g of UV resin to the other side of world would cost around 5 euros and the UV resin is around 10 euros, making it 2,5 euros/10g, which is 3,8 cad, so less than what the wish resin was, even with shipping from the Sophie&Toffee. (Not sure if the shipping from wish was in usd or cad). Personally, I'm tad vary of wish. It sounds too much of a scam website for me to want to support them. It's hard to know how safe the stuff from the cheap web pages are. Some of them might be the same stuff other places sell, some of them might be cheap knock offs, some of them might be stuff that is essentially the same, but failed the quality control. Then some of the stuff they sell contain dangerous chemicals, such as lead and other heavy metals in jewelry, clothes with formaldehyde etc. Of course, it's hard to make sure that even the more reputable stores have safe products, but I'd say it has better changes.
@@ulla7378 its cad, you can see it when she looks at the listings, however I was mostly insinuating that if you wanted 10g of this product from S&T it wouldn't be cheaper at all since you'd be paying the 2,50 cad plus whatever shipping. which you wouldn't divide since its a flat rate, to my house this would be 5 euro or 7,50 cad making the total product 10 ca which is twice more then the flat 4 dollars wish charges, if you want to have 60g then yes, buying it from s&t would be slightly cheaper however they do sell similar bottles of 60g over on aliexpress for 4 euro or 6 cad including shipping which would still be cheaper then S&T.
I did specify that quality is a different story but Ive ordered from S&T before as well as aliexpress and ive found exactly the same molds that S&T sell on there for far less then they charge as well as other accessory's and findings. I am not saying aliexpress has amazing quality but just because a website offers it on a pretty put together page doesn't mean they have it either, if you like sophie and toffee there is nothing wrong with that but like you have your doubts with wish so do I with S&T
Yep exactly what I thought
1-24 is based on which color you want, they usually have a list of the colors and 24 must've been black
Shaps14 oohhhhhh that makes sense
I was gonna say the same thing, knowing how Wish works 😂
At 6:00 min you can see that 24 is Black on the Screenshot ☺️ but yes wish is very confusing 😅
Usually the photos have it numbered so you know which one you're getting but sometimes the ppl dont put on the first one that u need to go look at the damn photos to see what the damn numbers mean....(this happened to me to so i know how she feels)
also it didn't say polymer clay it said plasticine air dry , that's what they send u

Yeah, when it comes to Wish most of the free stuff is, as you said, not free. They move it to the shipping price. If you find the non free versions, their shipping prices will likely be cheaper so these aren't even "free" free. 3:
So to anyone excited to buy "free" stuff from Wish, be careful, might cost the same as the non free or more.
Totally agree, it is complete bs. You can buy all of that stuff for cheap from ebay.
Found these Quilling Crimpers, starting for 2.06 USD a piece, shipping included.
Go on ebay and find the same item for 99p with free shipping!
I've been quilling since I was a kid. Let's just say over 35 years 😀 I don't recommend a crimper. Only advanced designs require it. A kit on Amazon with everything including a size/cork board, rolling tool and pins, which are critical, is only 8.00 USA. Paper can also be found on Amazon beginners and most designs require 1/16" paper. The best book I have found is "Quilled Mandalas" by Alli Bartkowski also on Amazon. Beginner to advanced modern designs. Be careful. Paper fillagree is addictive! (Yes that's what it was called when I began)
And
I only tried paper quiling once in Elementary school but it was.... 😭😭😭😢😢😢😢

Jackie, don't forget that you're in Canada. In the U.S., the shipping for these things are around $0.80, not $4.00

Idk what part of the US your in love, but in TN the shipping price starts at $2

The number in the clay is the color not the amount of clay.
Correct!!
Nella Paulina yes it is
Yeh it isn’t too difficult to figure out. Kind of misleading from someone with younger subscribers when it’s her mistake 😂
Wish is good for a few things but this video was a stretch at most...
Not only that but it literally says air dry clay in the description/title. She even read the whole thing out, including the part where it says that its air dry clay.
I was just about to comment that
Ive seen a lot of RUclipsrs pick the pigment up straight from the pencil with a wet brush and get better results. Maybe give that a try? You could totally do a doll repaint now too!
Raven Wilkens I was thinking the same but with the doll turning into a creature.
@@Tezzica ooh I like that idea better! Itd be cool to see Cthulu or a Satyr.
Fun fact: My AP Stats teacher uses that same exact engraving pen to engrave kids' names on their calculators
That’s pretty frickin cool
Wait rly! What if she messed up tho.
For the clay the numbers represented which color you wanted not really amount of clay.
I was about to say the same thing ^^" that's one thing you quickly learn when buing from chinese websites :p
Yes! Look through all of the pictures and usually there is a numbered chart of some sort showing you what number represents what color. Wish is fishy like that.
Oh yeah... Jackie was DOING IT WRONG! haha
Iwantalovelyheart That’s a little strange, but I guess that’s an issue of localization rather than Chinese sellers trying to be fishy.
It is not being fishy if you look in the computer progeams all colours have a different number and when you program or deal with coloured ink you work on numbers not names of colour and that is international I believe
I think where it said quantity for the clay, it probably meant which color you wanted from the picture of all the clay so you clicked 24 and it probably gave you the 24th color on the picture with all the clay
😭 I'm so inexperienced lol
I was going to say the same thing 😂
Came to say the same. Lol I buy on aliexpress all the time and a lot of listings do this.
You did it wrong, Jackie! 🤣🤣🤣😘

The number in the Wish listing for the air dry clay usually responds to the colour, not the amount.

the "cracks" you got with the uv resin happens sometimes when you shift it during curing or if you drag something against the surface of the mold while spreading the resin. I've gotten that before, it's not really cracks, but more often it's raised ridges.
Me being in japan realizing those pens are from the 100 yen shop (daiso/dollar store) so you’re basically you’re paying one extra dollar for it ;-;
Thi-Antra Chirasarn i agree their items are cheap yet high quality uwu
@Thi-Antra Chirasarn yeahhh that's why I always go to daiso~ well in Malaysia most of the stuff is RM5.90
on the “polymer clay” it was misleading for the “size” but i think it was asking for which color you wanted. like there were 24 color options and number 24 was black so you got two black?🤔🤷🏻♀️
Yep... you really have to be careful ordering from Wish, as their descriptions are SOMETIMES not even clear enough to know what they mean... but maybe that's on purpose. IDK, but a LOT of stuff is labeled sterling silver and it's NOT. Some of the crafting stuff is a good deal, but you STILL better look closely to see what it is you're actually ordering.
It said 2pcs
Size was expected or at least supposed to be expected
It probably was like okay we have onyx and jet black.
Two color options
The scissors are thread scissors. They’re for cutting thread when sewing/embroidery/cross stitch etc. If you use them on paper they’ll get dull super fast
I bought the Muji pens in a whole pack and I bought them last year in April and I still use them to this day. They are really nice to use and I've used it with some of my artwork as a liner as well. I suggest buying more of them! I have a link to a seller who sells a whole pack for 1$ (1-3$ shipping) in multiple sizes if you are (or anyone) is interested! ❤️
Edit: Unfortunately they don't sell to the sets anymore :'))
The number is sometimes the color of the item

@@thailaholbrook8177 if you watch were she going though the pictures for the clay one of them has a picture with the color numbered.
I have bought little things from wish, and this is indeed how it works, if there are color options they are either in their own section or are in the size section.

The titles are super long, so that the seller can have their item put into a lot of searches. There are a lot of keywords in their title, so that their product comes up more often.

A thing as I figured out you have to do with Wish is read the description that they have in the bottom. They do this with ear phones often. It will show 2 but then only actually give you one side of the pair. Reading the description tells you EXACTLY what they should be sending you!
P.S Dope Or Nope is an amazing channel!
Edit: with -> Wish*
Oh quilling is fun, I've only done it a few times, I'd say maybe get a booklet about it, it helped me a lot, and if you can't find a quilling needle look up how to make one, it's really easy.
We did paper quilling in my high school art class! I absolutely loved it! You can find some really great quilling kits/supplies on Amazon for very reasonable prices 💜
Definitely I ordered a whole kit of supplies less then 20 bucks
Yeah, something you learn really quick when using Wish, is that "size" doesn't actually mean amount. If you scroll through the images included in the listing, they'll usually have a chart that lists all the colors with corresponding numbers. 24 was black, in this case.
I didn't know 😭
@@nerdecrafter It's okay, I didn't know the first time I used Wish either. That website is confusing af.
so i shop on wish a lot for weird things i dont wanna pay full price for in store and even if it says size"" it means colour, on one of the other pictures in the page it maybe shows a diagram with all the colours laid out and the numbers correspond. NO IDEA why they do it like this lol wish is WEIRD!!!
because it takes less work than having someone translate and type each individual color let alone have names for them, which on its own would make having it free with only shipping not worth it in value. because they'd be paying whoever did it for their time even if we all know that they'd be paid super minimally.
Also if you're wondering on the logic of shipping and handling costs being fairly high and the only thing being paid and how that's sustainable.. well from my understanding shipping isn't regulated and taxed. So you actually kind of make more that way for your cheap products..
Paper quilling is basically rolling up paper and making designs. Watch RUclips vids on it
Came for the salt, stayed for the dope or nope reference, liked for the content 👍
I’ve done a little bit of quilling a long time ago, and I never used a crimper, but it is a pretty cool effect! A and also, I didn’t use any special tools at all, just construction paper, coiled it tight, let it uncoil to the size I wanted and used my fingers to pinch the shapes I wanted, then just used a toothpick and some school glue to close it off. Your video makes me want to get back into it!
Same, except I used a needle with a really wide eye to wind the paper strips
The quilling device works great with polymer clay, can be used to create a ruffle effect for bezels, frames etc.
Quick PSA i guess
I know that Wish has some really cool artwork prints, stickers and so on, but they have a very high possibility of being stolen artwork. (Let's be honest - do you really think some Chinese wholesale factory/company commissioned artists, or paid them to use their work?)
So, please, if you do end up buying such things on Wish, check if the artwork's not stolen before you buy (reverse image search).
I've bought pins on Wish before and seen them on Etsy or other stores immediately afterwards.... It's really screwed up. I feel really bad whenever that happens. 😕 I try not to buy stuff like pins/patches/stickers on Wish anymore.
I'm evil, sorry
Well 24 is maybe the "name" of the color
nah it's the size of the color.

The paper crimper looks great actually! You still need the regular quilling tool - this is just to prep the paper for the texture, then quill it as you normally would with smooth paper. You can get a basic paper quilling kit for about $15 - $20 USD at craft stores like MIchael's or Hobby Lobby. It's super fun!
I don’t know when I would use the paper crimped but all the sudden... I WANT IT!🤣🤩
JaCkiE U dID iT WrOng bEcaUsE yOu DiD nOT aDd SALT
That paper crimper is really cool. It has nothing to do with the quilling I’ve done and seen over the decades, but it’s cool. In quilling, the paper is usually wrapped tightly enough the crimping would be lost; it could be done with some looser loops, but then you’d lose precision. There are certainly some cool things you could do with that, but I don’t know that I’d call it quilling.
What if they just jack up the shipping price in order to provide for the cost of the item and the shipping?🤔🤔
That's the point
They do
They actually do. Once I bought an item there for 1€ and 2€ shipping. When I went back to the exact item (exact, not same product from different seller), it was free but 3€ shipping. It's tricking you into thinking you're playing less when in fact you're paying the same amount.
And when something is wrong with a product or it doesnt arrive, if you complain, you dont get your shipping cost returned but you get the price for the product returned to you
They do that because if it cost $0.00 it can't be returned!

I do quilling. That crimper is ok for those starting out. There are crimpers that have different gear shapes to create different kinds of crimps. A better crimper would be one that has small slots to create tighter crimps. I find crimping paper is mainly good for two kinds of quilling: cartoony animals or realistic plants.
If you ever do trying quilling, try to get paper that holds it's shape. Computer and construction paper just doesn't cut it unless it's for practice. There are websites that sell sample packs of quilling paper. Cardstock is a bit too thick. It's difficult but doable.
Check your Hobby Lobby too. They have a veeery small section of quilling supplies I think near the stickers or paper.
10:19 Jackie: "I'mma just draw with the pencil and then put water on it" Me" You know your supposed to dip the water color pencils in water and then draw with them!!
Love you Jackie!

The child's version is dip and draw adults is draw and add water to blend, but to each their own I suppose. Most serious artists I see using them in the draw then blend method, but some people even crush them and add water to make paint on the fly (although it's highly wasteful); there really are no wrong answers with art supplies.
I do both ways but at the end I dip to draw to add more detail.
I went to art college, you are not supposed to dip them in water, you colour first, then add water. If you want really pigmented colour you can pick the pigment off the pencil with a wet brush, but you don't use the pencils wet.

I honestly love that clay! I didn't get mine from Wish, I got mine from Amazon. But I bought clay for my little cousin's because I baby sit them a lot, so like fun things to do. Anyway, I fell in love with that clay and bought myself my own little stash. It's definitely not polymer clay but I've made some really cute creations with it. 😁😁
