They are from same family, genus just species diff. Including kale , cabbage ,turnip etc
@@Sauv_27 Yeah, I knew they're from the same family. But didn't realize the leaves would be so much identical to the point of confusing one for the other if the plant hasn't flowered yet.

Once we cut the grown, does it start to grow from there or do we Need to start the process from the beginning?
Hi Pradeep, at 5:19 they cut the stalk leaving just the bottom, and thats going to continue growing until the next harvest because it already has its root system grown below soil. Basically its a cycle from there on

Do you happen to know if the egg shells were added to deter pests, or to add calcium to the soil, or just as a mulch to keep it from drying out?

Bạn thật khéotay, giỏi quá
Ma sha Allah I love it from Ethiopia🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹
Great growing man. I'm wondering why you cut off the leaves. If you cut heads they'll regrow smaller brocs
Two of my favorite vegetables!
Was that compost you fertilized with??
The egg shells are a great idea!! Keeps slugs and snails out
Slugs and snails can actually still move over eggshells

From seed to plate journey was awesome good effort

Agreed
Really good because you cooking for for parents
Container gardening at its best! Didn't know broccoli and cauliflower needs so much calcium, no wonder mine has never grown. thx!
he puts that on all his vegtables. I'm just always thinking (what restaurant is using that many eggs?)
The egg shells are for slugs or some beetles. Egg shells take a long time to break down to add any calcium unless you crush them real fine.
@@makomako5301 thx for the reply, but why do you think I can't grow cruciferous veggies then? What kind of soil do I need?
@@CynicismForLife Sunny, well drained soil. Mix compost with soil before planting. Goodluck!

@@rakeshtalpada7484 but u need meat to survive
You don't have to cut the broccoli like that. I don't know why they distroyed the whole plant. If you just cut off the brocci parts the plants with sprout 4 more from the sides and keep doing that every time you cat a broccoli off, all summer. Plus the leaves are edible and highly nutritious,he just throw all that away! I was deviated!!!

Krásna zeleninka 😍 ďakujem za dobré typy na pestovanie, veľa lásky zo Slovenska ❤🇸🇰
Impossible nothing if you have strong determination 👍👍 keep sharing...
I understand that I'm missing the point by saying this, but the cost of the initial set up, the seeds, the fertilizer, the plastic bottles, the compost and everything completely outweighs the cost of a few cauliflower.
I suppose if you are completely recycling everything and you use this system multiple times then it is more cost effective.
Ahh but knowing how to grow your own food is priceless my friend - we may need that skill one day 😊
So these are being grown indoors or on a rooftop it looks like? That's why there's no pests. Great video and food looks delicious 😋
They’re so beautiful. What soil and fertilizer was used?
Really superb video..first time watching a video with plantation process with its final preparations..
Wow..so beautiful cauliflower
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Why not grow few at every 2 weeks interval to get constant supply throughout the season, rather growing and harvesting in bulk and that's the end.
Business 🙄
Gotta tell u , same pinch .
They're cold weather vegetables, so it's possible the window for growing them may be too small to extend the season much.
Freeze them

How does it stop pests?
The leaves are edible too
I save all the broccoli stems. I peel them with a potato peeler and cut in to 1/4inch chunks. blanch for 3 min in hot water. Strain and cook with olive oil, garlic and salt for about 2-3 mins. You will thanks me
The leaves are edible too...
The heads grow in the center of a ruffle of large green leaves. All of these parts or not only edible, they are delicious and highly nutritious. Some eaters (including this one) actually prefer the stalks and leaves of broccoli and cauliflower plants to the more commonly eaten head.
Steam and make stuffed like stuffed cabbage. Or make into chips like Kale
