I have been using Macbook air M1 and it's a beast. Apple can change the market with just 1 product and with M1pro and M1max they just made other laptops look like aged old technology. This is great engineering from Apple.

what about the price? ....the price at which they launched m1pro and m1 max is out of reach for most people....i agree m1 is a great processor and introduced an option for people but price to value ratio is very less

Apple is pretty good at bringing its customers back. With the kind of quality and experience they create using their products, customers find it hard to move away from Apple.
With its dive into the software space, it will be interesting to see how they’ll ensure the customer retention provided that market penetration won’t really be a huge problem for them
Great insights as usual! These are business tactics that make great companies stand out of the crowded market. Apple is known for it, but it's really missing the Steve Jobs touch on emotionally connecting product with lives.
I think technological disruption and being ahead of time and it's competitors is already a hook they got for the next decade ... So it will not be a big deal

Well, as far as iPhone unit sales are concerned…I would like to opine that back in 2016, there was hardly any competition for apple in the smartphone market that would beat Apple in Smartphone market, other than Samsung. It is just amazing that iPhone sales are so strong even after so tough competition from Android market.

Its just a mature phase of business Apple's iPhone is going through,
as someone rightfully said that "one cannot infinitely innovate a product".
Its apparent that iphones have
Little or no growth
Industry consolidation
High barriers to entry during the mature phase
but company is making sure to maintain its market share and venturing into more valuable and revenue generating businesses.
You canot infinitely innovate but apple is just behind the industry with their phones, they don't even have to innovate so much as they just have to copy others
Apple has been known for its brand for a very long time. Its often criticised for the fact that it doesn’t necessarily reinvents itself with every upgrade. A lot of times, they just have minor changes here and there.
Now that’s again something that might have contributed to the downfall of units sold.
I've got to say on thing, Buying a new laptop these days is a lot of dilemma that's where apple is good at , you've got one upgraded product launched every year and no different series of products to suit different kind of needs(except for gaming though) all at one place like a good investment!

1) that product is better than competition,
2) that product perfectly suits your need, or
3) that product has everything one could ever demand.

Apple is known for its revolutionary products which is the reason why it is still a tech giant even after selling products at a premium price. Hence, it won't be surprising if apple brought another tech revolution through apple glass or something else.
I think what apple does is, picking s concept and refine and mold in its eco. Apple is moreover a premium brand like rolex or rolls roice.
apple "was" known for it's revolutionary product..now it's a premium brand... refining the existing ideas... that's not a bad thing... apple products are reliable and of great quality with little more asking price...but in no way it's revolutionising the tech as of now

These big tech companies and their innovations are becoming more intrusive into our private life and as a result our entire digital footprint is now available and the extent to which they can be used is unthinkable. The entire ecosystem is being built in such a way even if we try to avoid , we will get attached at some point indirectly due to challenges.

It would have been better if you have included M1/ MX chipsets when you are talking about revolutions in Apple. It is a wonderful revolution and a classical example of how you can eliminate your dependence on key suppliers, aka chipset manufacturers (Intel) by Backward Integration. Every other company now trying to emulate that model now. It is a true revolution in Hardware Industry after years. And the case study needs some more facts about the company's internal organisational structure. I would suggest to refer some HBR articles for this.
More facts = Information overload.
Hence cut the video from 15 mins to 11

According to my point of view, a common man uses apple products just to show off whereas a wise man use them as tools to grow themselves.
That common man who uses it show off is usually from developing countries where Apple products are considered as luxury items.

One think you missed. In western countries we don’t buy phones outright but on a contract and many times it’s free just to stay in the contract for 1-2 years. So price point is not that of a barrier for apple users with the retail customer.
Wholesale buyers like the carrier make money via accessories & plans.
So cute that you think it's "free" to stay in a contract for those overpriced phones.

Man... This company is in very dominant position. Inherently focused on exploiting every single opportunity.
All they need is 2 phones, one big one and one small sized with same hardware and software, nothing more good than the other. Having 4 phones is overkill, what is the real iPhone these days? What’s the point of iPhone 14 when the pro is better, what’s the point of pro, when the max is better. Just keep it too two phones for people with small or fat fingers
