Thanks--I just got this gun, and although the instructions seemed straightforward, I found your video really helpful to make sure I understood how to operate the tool. Much appreciated!
Thanks for sharing your video! I just got mine and I have to nudge the spring loader in order for it to load the next nail. Any tips or ideas on what I could be doing wrong or anything I need to adjust? Thanks in advance!
@@FixItYourself thanks for responding! i figured it out. i had the depth gauge ( i think that is what the gray thing you twist is called) too close to the end. i moved it further back and haven't had any problems since. thanks again!
This is an excellent gun. Bought one myself and it's been a life safer for finishing baseboard and door framing! :) I watched your 'guide' starting at 3:00 minutes for the depth of the nail and enjoyed learning some of your other tips regarding it's usage. thanks!
Thanks. I really like this gun too. On that note, I recently got to use a 20 volt Dewalt finish nailer and it works a lot faster than this old gun. Though it does cost a bit more. amzn.to/3giS5tp
Thanks for video...I never used one before.....I could not figure out how to load the nails...till I say your video. The instructions from box are not very clear.
I had the 16g and ended up throwing it across the room, just got so fcd off with it sticking all the time, i would strip it down get the problem sorted, do a job, grease it up, come to use it a month later and same again, never had any problems with my 18g gun, but i have a zero tolerance for things that just dont work as they should
As long as they are the proper gauge and fit in the machine they should work. I've used at least 3 different manufacturers nails in these guns and they work fine.
Just bought one cuz I m tired of moving a compressor, the airline , the different sized gun bag, etc. 16 gauge works in all finish situations with base trim ,moor trim ,many thing
Mines didn't work. Only shot a few nails after that it doesn't work. Noticed alot of people having the same issue with this gun.Should of just dished out the extra cash and got a dewalt instead and saved me the headaches trying to make this thing work.
A word of caution. When using an air nailer, there is always the possibility of a nail coming out the edge of the wood due to being deflected by certain grain structures. When you cut the tip of the nails at an angle, you are increasing that chance. You might be better off cutting the nails with the tips flat. This will also lessen the chance of splitting the wood.
this is a "finish nailer". it's designed to drive the thin little 16ga nails to attach trim and facia... often into a 2x4. but if you mean, does it nail 2x4's to other 2x4's, then no. what you're looking for in that case is a "framing nailer". and the only good cordless electric one i know of is the milwaukee 2744-20 and 2745-20.

It’s perfect for me. I want to study and reflect on both his words and actions so that I am fully ready to use this Ryobi, or any tool which is being demonstrated
I wouldn't advise anybody to purchase a Ryobi Nail Gun. Just look at all the RUclips videos regarding non-firing. Sent mine back. This despite trying all the work around, dismantling, oiling etc. Avoid.

Just got one of these and sure do appreciate what you went over! Very helpful to me!!
Glad I could help!
Great video! Just got my tool. Now I know what to do. Thank you.
Glad it helped, thank you.
Excellent explanation. Thanks budy.
Glad to help, thanks for commenting.
Did you just do all that with the battery in?
Your asking for trouble
Thanks for sharing this info. I just got my new P325 today. Doing a cedar shake roof repair.
Nice. I hope it works out for you.
Very helpful for first time user!
Glad to hear that!
Hi where did you buy your nails. Please show a picture of the brand. I’m
In Switzerland and can’t find the right nails.
Thanks for this demo. I have the same model and this was very helpful.
you're welcome
Thanks for the tutorial! My favorite part was about the tool belt 😂
Glad you liked it!
Great instructional video. Easy to follow. Good Job!
Glad it was helpful!
Just watch your video. Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
What tool did you use to cut the nails to 3/4 inch ???
I used a hacksaw to carefully cut them on the flat side. So in other words you cut them all at once or else they fall apart.
Thanks for replying n info.
Thanks for this video , awesome

Not that I know of, check to make sure no debris is in the track. Unclip the front and see that there is nothing in the front stopping them.

Can this take 18g nails as well? Or only 16g?
Only 16g. The 18g will make it jam.

Great video man 👨, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Just received mine. Is it normal for it to walk forward each time it nails the board?
i haven't bought one yet, but just from this video, it looks like it's normal. his jumps forward a bit every time he drives one in.
I'm having a problem when you pull back to load the Kneller mine won't lock in place and the ideas why
Maybe something is blocking it from locking? Is the spring broke?
Does it take any general manufacturers nails including stainless . Good tips . Thanks
As long as they are the proper gauge and fit in the machine they should work.
I've used at least 3 different manufacturers nails in these guns and they work fine.
Thanks mate
great demo. Thanks so much.
Glad you liked it!
Does it have a lock on it or do you just take off battery
Take off the battery.
What do you cut your nails down with?
I cut them with a hack saw. You have to cut you stack all at once or else they will start to break off.
Is that a bit of 19 x 32 ceiling trim there? Can you tell what I do for a living, lol.
Thank you so much you were a big help. 😃 it was a little scary do you need to first time 😅😂
Glad I could help!
I only have 18ga brad nails,is it possible to use it on this model?will it work?
I don't think they will work with this model.
I did use 16ga nails in the 18ga nailer but I wouldn't recommend it.
thx for the vid! very helpful!
Glad it helped!
I like mine . Have had it for a few years now . Got it at Home Depot for $120 w/o battery
It's a good tool to have.
How often do you use yours ?
Just bought one cuz I m tired of moving a compressor, the airline , the different sized gun bag, etc. 16 gauge works in all finish situations with base trim ,moor trim ,many thing
Its a good nail gun. I like the precision and the control of the depth.
I was looking at buying a small portable compressor when I saw and bought this gun instead....Best purchase ever.
I like your style. You remind me of Ray Romano from the sitcom: Everybody Loves Raymond. Mannerisms and voice! Is that you Ray? 😁
Thanks I think lol

The dewalt is nice, but this works just as good.
Take it to Home Depot and have them fix it. It should be under warranty.
The gun I got was also faulty. I just returned it and ordered another one - hoping it works fine, the gun had good reviews
Can I use nail size 3 or 3-1/2 inches on this gun 16 gauge?
Thanks
No, only up to 2 1/2
What I do is buy the different nail sizes so I have them but yeah when ur in a pinch
Yea, better to buy many different nail sizes. But its good to know you can do this in a pinch

True, but I'm pretty sure I was just copying the originals I had.
Your idea might work better. I will try it next time.
I m like you I do what I have to to get the job done long as it looks good and I don't have to go to the store , I ll do want ever .
Thank u
No problem
I have the same gun😍😍😍😍😍
Great Video!!
You need some coffee though
Tell me about it

My tool belt doesn't have a problem at all holding this tool
That was my problem it was down to 3 nails and nothing happed after that ,no action at all .
yep that's a safety feature.
Wtf he had the battery in and push down the safety with his finger?...
Get over it already. I knew what I was doing.

good job
How much Ryobi cordless cost?
The price has gone down I believe, but I paid around 189.00
I think you can get it for around 150.00 now, maybe less
@@FixItYourself 👍thank you.
Why is my gun shutting 2 nails instead of one
Ryobi manual was not instructive. Thanks for your video.
Glad it helped
And never use your finger and push the safety mech while the battery and nails are installed!!!! Geez!!!
So many ads 🙄
6:25 dude what are you doing? Have some respect for power tools.
What dude?
You're pointing a loaded & energized nailgun at your camera and at yourself.
yea but you have to depress the tip all the way down to get it to fire.
