Wow DJ looks way more comfortable in this offense. Oregon St is going to be tough to beat this year if they play smash mouth football like this.
As a Clemson fan I think DJ is gonna kill it this season, Clemson just wasn’t a good fit for his skill set and our OC was terrible

These Clemson fans that always post "I wish we still had Trevor Lawrence" 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽 Like they don't understand it doesn't matter who is at QB in that Clemson offense, with that terrible offensive line with no elite wr's that can't get separation and barely can catch the ball would super struggle.

I was concerned about the defense and while the secondary needs some work, I thought some of them were better than I expected. I really thought the Beavers defense tackled well. Not many missed tackles at all and lots of open field tackles executed nicely.
San Jose will win games this season. They are nobody's doormat, but Oregon State was just too tough, and look like they are on a mission.

Hm. That's odd. There was a bunch of USC fans last week telling me how good SJSU's offense was and that's why they put up 28, not bc USC's defense still fkn blows....
Yeah I have seen tons of USC fans saying, yeah well we beat them by more!!.... but OSU held them to 3 points until garbage time, OSU was playing conservative and still held them to 30+% less yards than USC did and DJ stood there in the pocket alllll day where as CW scrambled like 10 miles per throw ducking defenders that game. I dont care what the score at the end shows, those two games could not have more different.

If San Jose State had started Butterfield (9) or even put him in at half time, I think San Jose State would have won this game. I'd be surprised if they don't start Butterfield next week.

Winning the game is a stretch, but Butterfield is very good, and much better than their starter, who is a better runner, but lacks accuracy throwing. The reason Butterfield might not succeed is his receivers can't get open enough, and he's not a runner.

They smoked the gators in their bowl game. Beavs had the best defense in the pac last year too( at least statistically). Only other defense that was potentially better was Utah.
