Wow, i remember watching this back in the 90's. I think it was a programme called the beat. I saw them at King Tuts in Glasgow & they were utterly amazing & hypnotic. The 2 albums they released are still stunning. What a band. Bless Jimmy Fernandez, rest in peace.

So good. Indistinguishable from what they put on records, a sign of greatness in music - the performace is reality.

You were lucky to have met them back in the day, was it in the UK or elsewhere?

I saw them at the first Phoenix festival in 1993. I was at the opposite end of the main arena, but heard this sound which just seemed to be drawing me in, and went closer and closer until I was in the middle of it, and it was just one of the most intense things I have ever witnessed. I was hooked and bought the first album, then the second, then was devastated when I heard Jimmy had died. This band stood out amongst all the other stuff that was around at the time. They weren't this, they weren't that, they were just... The God Machine. Heavy as hell, but deep, mysterious, magical... you know what I mean. I don't think there'll ever be a band like them. They were just too strange and powerful for this world to comprehend. RIP Jimmy and sadly, RIP The God Machine.

Thank you so much for uploading this. It's very rare to see some pro-shot footage of The God Machine. I've been going to gigs for over 30 years and nothing has ever come close to being as powerful as the time I saw them at the St Helens Citadel. Jimmy Fernandez RIP, never forgotten. Criminally underrated band.
