💚Oh my, sooooo fun to see you together and what beautiful garden centers and gorgeous things. It’s still winter big time here in Michigan, darn. But I watch you two and dream of springtime and visiting your beautiful Country some day! Thank you!! 🌷💕🍀
Thank you for that lovely garden and garden centre video, Karen. I've been looking forward to going to a garden centre but haven't had the time so you gave me my fix to keep me going 😊 I love both your garden and beauty videos ❤
8:51 The structure of that tree ❤️ Karen says the bulbs look like little poo😅 Dainty says shyly , they look like wrinkled balls😂 The face she made say that. Priceless.
Oh you are so like me, except I’m crafty supplies, not even staging an intervention will us either😂 Love seeing you and Catherine doing things, such infectious giggles.
You girls make me smile when you get together and yes of course it was going to happen they just jump into the trolley!!! I have exactly the same problem. I would love a bee hive but I have such a small garden and not sure my neighbours would appreciate visiting swarms lol. So perhaps that isn't going to happen. Have a super week xxx
It's been years since I've had a budget for gardening, making do with my already bought seeds, egg cartons, etc. It's fun watching you plan for the spring. Every time you or Catherine say dahlia it sounds like you are say day lillies, took me forever to figure that one out. Thank you for sharing. Canadians love you.
So enjoy following your gardening journey 🌱. Cafe au lait dahlia is gorgeous. “Will I get some rannuncullus,” then walk away with a cart 🛒 full !! 😄 A couple thoughts 😇 -Have handy Catherine build you a cold frame cover for seedlings -The pots on a wall idea at arboretum. “Handy Catherine” 🤓 can build a wood shelf structure tri levels so pots drop in the holes to elevate them and give vertical interest. -There are metal spikes to deter birds sitting on fence/ledges/ business signs. Doesn’t hurt the birds just keep your loud problem birds from taking over and going elsewhere. Happy Birthday to your Mom 🎂
So good to see garden videos again. I wasn’t on much in the winter but I’m so ready for spring ones. You can do your lettuces the same way as the carrots. That way you’ll have lettuce throughout the season. I had to give lettuce away because it of course all got ready at three same time. Well, the video is finished, I’m off to the garden center😂
I have Café au Lait in my garden and I love her soooooo much! I bought her last year online, because I couldn´t find her anywhere. And this year I already saw her twice in a garden center and even in a hardware store. 😅 My kids get me dahlias for easter. I sent them the exact names of the ones I want. 😂 Since I´m on a low buy year that´s the only way of getting plants. 🤭 I loved your video. Thanks so much! Love from Germany 🤗
What a lovely gift to receive!! And that’s the best way to get around not wanting to spend more and I’m sure they’re delighted to get you something you actually want and love!
Tell your mom Happy Birthday 🧁from a girl in the states on the shore in Maryland. When you plant your dinner plate Dahlia, be sure to put some kind of support to hold it up as it gets bigger, I use tomato cages. And yes, please visit the arboretum when the tulips and daffs are in bloom.
I loved the gardens you and Catherine visited. The photography was gorgeous. Always love the two of you together. Laughed when you said near the end of the video that is was all you bought. See you next week.
A lovely video. Really enjoyed the walk through the gardens you visited. Really hope you do return to them as the seasons and the in bloom plants change. 😊
Thank you, Karen, this was a beautiful video. It was -12 here when I woke up this morning, and to see your garden center and park so green and budding and lovely was a boon to my soul. You have given me hope that there will be a spring this year. The winter seems so long. Laurie
The Liartris is a huge magnet for pollinators. I raise Monarchs in Canada and had 1 plant last year. There were butterflies on it constantly, like 5 at a time. I planted 3 more in the fall for this year.
Love your channel 🎂🎂🎂🎂 happy birthday mum! I love potted pots ,I only have a very small area to grow and my soil is very sandy ,I live close to the ocean.I found I do a lot better in pots . thank you for all your tipd🙏🐦😍 L
This is perfect timing lol I went to the garden centre on Friday. Have been doing seed inventory ... it took 2 sittings to get through them all 🤣 bought a few houseplants, seed packets and bulbs. Just made me so happy to be in there😍😍😍 Loved your garden centre tour. I caught my head trying to move around the corners to see all the bulbs 😂 those ready to plant kits would make a fab gift. Happy belated birthday to your mum!! 🥳 ps that's all I bought ... for now🤣🤣🤣 best line ever!!
Anything that says it's good for naturalising means it will spread itself around. 😊 There are daffodils, crocus, snowdrops etc, etc. Love the bleeding hearts but my soil is far too heavy and wet for them to grow. Look forwards to watching yours grow 💚💚
What a great tip to the garden center and Altamont Gardens. The massive trees and beautiful garden beds even when mostly dormant were lovely. Yes we knew you were buying bulbs and seeds. ha ha Thanks for the bee information Catherine. Always nice to see you two having a little fun. Happy Sunday. Have a great week.
Looking forward to seeing another year in your garden. If you want the taller cow parsley type flowers it's Ammi you want I grow loads and they are stunning 😊 just a suggestion. 😊
I'd love a lesson from you on changing out the compost in your pots. Do you take the plants out before or after the plants show up? I enjoyed your seed/bulb/tuber selection!
Love it! Since your last video I've ordered 2 more orders of seeds : ), and bought 2 more blueberry and 3 more raspberry plants. To be fair I lost 2 blueberry and 6 raspberry plants last year.... Have you heard of Clancy potatoes? You grow them from seed not chitted potates, I'm going to try them this year. I think you'll like the sweet dumplings. They vine well, and would look nice on a trellis. They are cute and taste good as well.
really enjoyed video 😊i'm off to the garden centre at the weekend for few seeds i need you think your bad i think i'm running a nursery the way it gose in me trolly 🤭 do some Helichrysum nice and tall great cut flower and last for ever sometimes called straw flowers crispy flower heads when dryed keeps lovley coloured flower heads
I, too, have a window feeder. I f9und I had to add stickers to my windows on outside as the birds sometimes misjudged the reflection on my windows and banged into them.
I tried your flower art! I have found a new hobby! this is with dandelions from my yard, can't wait to try this with my flowers this spring 👀 well I tried to send you a pic but it won't let me
This makes me so happy! You can send me a picture on my gardening instagram @lovelygardenybits and I'll keep an eye out for it! I want to do more of that this year too!
They had a sign saying greasy steps and because my camera and lens were around my neck and really expensive, along with the fact that I'm so clumsy, I didn't risk it! Catherine went down for a quick look!
Buy a monopod. Only one leg but you can good photos using it. It helps with the shakes from a heavier camera. I is mine all the time when I can’t use tripod.😅
I ordered my dahlias from farmer gracey in December I'm still waiting on them. I did dig up some because that's what they tell u, but they didn't get through . I should have left them in the ground
I planted a bleeding heart in my garden a few years ago, but just after it got to about 18 inches we had strong winds and it snapped so I dug it out and put it in a large pot and placed it in a sunny sheltered spot near the house and it comes back every year, I've got 3 inch shoots at the moment. So just a heads up to not put it in a spot were it gets a lot of wind.❤
I have one in a pot in the same spot for the last 3 years I think, so with this new one, I'll plant it close by and maybe I'll plant out the one in the pot too and give it more access to nutrients etc!
My favorite part of the video - you show the Arboretum bag - ‘we knew that was going to happen, didn’t we’ 😅 hahaha I just love your sense of humor.
I think we all knew I wasn't going to come home from a garden centre empty handed!!
Absolutely love the garden visits…thank you! 🙏🪴❤️
Thank you for watching!
Me too 😊
Thank you for another lovely video 🙂 You look beautiful in that green sweater, it really brings out the green in your eyes 💚🙂
Agreed 🌸
Thank you! It's my favourite one and it's super cosy too!
Karen I need a seed starting video from you, perfect time of year and I feel like you have a lot of wisdom to share on the topic!
It's coming soon! The weather isn't playing ball at the moment, but the greenhouse is ready for all of the sowing!
Another great video. And I loved learning about the honey bees.
Thank you so much for watching!
Karen, great video. 5.0" of snow in Florissant, Missouri, US. Blessings always 😊
I hope spring comes soon!
So enjoyed looking round with you and can’t wait to see your seeds and bulbs growing in your garden 😊
Thanks so much for watching!
You make me laugh Karen .🤣…. Love your videos 🥰

Wow girls the garden centres in your side of the world is next level😮😮😮

Thank you for that lovely garden and garden centre video, Karen. I've been looking forward to going to a garden centre but haven't had the time so you gave me my fix to keep me going 😊 I love both your garden and beauty videos ❤
8:51 The structure of that tree ❤️ Karen says the bulbs look like little poo😅 Dainty says shyly , they look like wrinkled balls😂 The face she made say that. Priceless.
She's so funny!
The bit about the bees taking their turn… penguins do the same thing 🥰
Ah no way!
What a wonderful video, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching!
Oh you are so like me, except I’m crafty supplies, not even staging an intervention will us either😂 Love seeing you and Catherine doing things, such infectious giggles.
We love what we love, what can we say!
I love the cows mooing in the background. ❤
A day filled with lovely creatures!
Thank You for another inspiring video. Love yours and Catherine's outings together. I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can start my own garden. ❤
Bring on the spring so we can get busy in the garden!
You girls make me smile when you get together and yes of course it was going to happen they just jump into the trolley!!! I have exactly the same problem.

Isn't it mad how things just jump into the trolley like that!!

I'll have to get Catherine on payroll to help me with all of those jobs!!

I really missed filming the garden videos and I'm so happy that seed sowing season is upon us! I'll definitely be doing succession growing with salads

This winter has gone on for soooooooo long. We need spring asap!

Container planting is so much fun because your displays can look so different every day!
As usual you knock it out of the park. Beautiful day, scenery, flowers, and best of all you and Catherine. I needed that. Heather💜
We were blessed with the weather!
So agree. The green sweater makes your eyes amazing! Fun video. Can’t garden in my climate way too complicated/frustrating and have to wait til May
Hopefully May will fly in and before you know it, it'll be time to plant all the things!
What an enjoyable video. Thank you. Have a lovely week.
Thank you for watching!

For now.... and I bought more seeds today when buying compost, but shhhh, we'll say nothing!
@@Lovelygirliebits 🤣🤣🤣 love it!! so did I 😳2 types of native milkweed, a cherry tomato and a packet of Swiss chard.
Anything that says it's good for naturalising means it will spread itself around. 😊 There are daffodils, crocus, snowdrops etc, etc. Love the bleeding hearts but my soil is far too heavy and wet for them to grow. Look forwards to watching yours grow 💚💚

I'm totally going to buy some of that!
Catherine and you should check out Winter Sowing. You can start seeds that way. No greenhouse or sunny windowsill needed.
Interesting!Where do you put the seed trays if not on a windowsill or greenhouse?
happy birthday to your mum!🥳 i don't like to thin out seedlings, I feel guilty doing that lol all of them should get the chance to shine☺
That is EXACTLY how I feel about my seedlings! I love that we're not alone!
Karen...step away from the seeds...you went there 🤣 🤣🤣 . Lovely, lovely garden 🌺🌸💮
😂😂😂 someday I’ll be able to step away from the seeds 😂😂 Friday was not that day 😂😂
I’m planting dahlias in pots for the first time, I went for tartan and crème de cassis but soooo many pretty ones
That one looks beautiful!
Hey you, lol u bought more plant's I can relate ❤🎉
haha we knew it was going to happen!
I'd love a lesson from you on changing out the compost in your pots. Do you take the plants out before or after the plants show up? I enjoyed your seed/bulb/tuber selection!
I'll be doing that very thing over the next few weeks! Once the weather plays ball with my assigned garden days!
Love it! Since your last video I've ordered 2 more orders of seeds : ), and bought 2 more blueberry and 3 more raspberry plants. To be fair I lost 2 blueberry and 6 raspberry plants last year.... do some Helichrysum nice and tall great cut flower and last for ever sometimes called straw flowers crispy flower heads when dryed keeps lovley coloured flower heads
Oh yes! I want to buy straw flower seeds myself! And lattice (I think that's what they're called but I'm not sure how to spell it!)
I, too, have a window feeder. I f9und I had to add stickers to my windows on outside as the birds sometimes misjudged the reflection on my windows and banged into them.
So far so good here, but I'll definitely keep that in mind xx
Awesome and I do the same thing. LOL
Love it!

Are you going to have a bee hive?
No, I won't, but Catherine might! She's doing a beekeeping course, so you never know!
