Well I don't need to enter the giveaway seeing how I have a book of John scripture journal en route to me already, but I might have to add that Jesus Bible to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing it in detail and showing how you're using it. You've given me some things to think about on how I may better be able to archive sermon notes.

I've been cutting strips of paper the size of the side bars, and washi taping in at top and bottom to make my notes, but it can still be lifted up to read the side bars.

I just found your channel and subscribed! I love the Jesus Bible and have one in the NIV translation. My church Bible is a NLT Bible as that is what my pastor uses. I would love to know if you have a favorite commentary. I've looked at some and get so overwhelmed...they sound like they're written for scholars. Can you recommend a good, but easy to understand commentary?

Thank you so much for subscribing. I would highly recommend the Enduring Word commentary. It is written for a layperson to understand and it is completely free. They have both a website and app. I would also recommend following the founder of Enduring Word Pastor David Guzik on RUclips. He has an amazing channel where he does expository preaching through the Bible as well as some lecture type videos. I am going through his church history series right now and it is great.

Thank you. I was on the fence on TJB but now I’m for sure getting it. Do you just use scotch tape for your tip ins?
I was using Scotch tape but since getting it rebound, the boom binder showed me how much it was damaging the spine. I use PVA adhesive glue from Amazon now and it doesn’t damage the spine.

Beautiful! What paper do you use for interleaving?
It is Kokuyo Japanese 64gsm paper. It is not Bible paper thin but pretty thin and doesn’t add a lot of bulk. I have it linked in my Amazon Storefront under Favorite Bible Study Resources.

How do you tip in pages
I used to use clear tape and tip it into the spine but after getting it rebound the bookbinder said that was part of what was causing the spine damage. Now I just use a glue stick or a small drop of glue along the edge of the tip-in and wedge it into my Bible. Once I close the Bible the weight of it holds the tip-in in place until the glue has dried. I also do more tip-outs and flaps on the edges of my Bible pages so there is not so much pushing into the spine.
where did you get that little paper you are interleaving with. or did you cut regular paper?
I buy precut A5 paper on Amazon. I already had it on hand because this is what I use when I print out my planner inserts. I have some linked in my Amazon storefront that is really thin, almost like Bible paper.
hi! i'm new to bible journaling and just wanted to ask how did you make those blank pages not fall off from your bible?
I tipped them in. For the blank pages I use glue along the edge and stick it into my Bible. I can also use tape or washi tape if I am attaching it to the edge of another page and making a flap.
Hello which Bible would you recommend with a similar layout to the Jesus Bible but with a font larger than 9.5 I just received the Jesus Bible NIV and I’m so disappointed that the scripture text is too small.😢

Hey!! 9.5 font is typically considered large print in the Bible world so options are limited. If you want a journaling Bible I would recommend the Journal The Word Bible. amzn.to/44pqhML This one is NIV 10pt. font. They have other translations and colors as well. You won’t get any study notes or commentary but you will have space to journal and add in your own notes.
This is a giant print 16.5 point NIV. It is double column so almost no space for note taking in your Bible but you could certainly do that in a notebook. amzn.to/4466Bh4

How do you “tip” in can you show me how
Yes I just add a small dab of glue to the edge of the paper and place in into the spine. I close it to give it some weight and allow it time to dry.

@@BeauT4Ashz I used to but it adds too much bulk to my spine so now I only use glue when I add a page to the center. I do use washi when I am adding a flap or taping a tab to another page.

Yes that is why the video was called The Jesus Bible Flip Through and Review. My review portion was what I thought about the Bible and whether I would recommend others get it. And seeing as reviews are subjective and I purchased this with my own money, I was under no obligation to do it any other way. I apologize if this wasn’t what you were looking for.

I'm not sure yet when I will do another one. I had The Jesus Bible Journal and the ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal on hand for a giveaway so it was easy to do them. I will announce on the channel when there will be another one.
