I recently bought a dewalt 20v 12in bar chainsaw for that reason and don't regret it one bit works amazing and fits in my back storage box.

We normally would bring a gas one but it was planned to be a short run with the plan being to turn around if we hit big clumps of trees. Our New Years day one we will be bringing a bigger gas chainsaw.

A small chainsaw, you know, the petrol ones that are almost square... that have the handle facing upwards... the ones that clean electrical wires

Were you able to unspool your entire winch cable when you got home? Tugging like that is very hard on the cable and internal gears
