BTW, besides having a sensible supply of food and water, don’t forget pet food, meds, cat litter, etc. I was relieved to finally put a BIG bag of $$$ veterinary diet cat food in the pantry. (It’s life-preserving.) This gives me about four months of breathing room. Now I feel as “ready” as I can be for a disruption. 😎

OMG, I had a vacuum filter incident too! It had slipped down and dirt was going directly into the case - ACK!!
Same HERE! My filter was suddenly clogged with diatomaceous earth I'd spilled. No suction happening. I thought this old vac had just plain ended its career. So weirdcwe all had this. Are our filters full & saggy from overload?

Instinctively, I've been following a prepper board, and I bought the dvds for House and Mash. Not exactly happy stories, but MASH is so nostalgic, and as for House, I love Hugh Laurie as an actor.
And oddly, I have quite a supply of sage, so maybe comfort sausage is in my future . . . .
I hope it's going to be a very good year, but change is always hard.
