it's it’s old, I accept because I want to get rid of it. But I also have a hard spot in my heart for this person the sale. I do find, that I forget about it as soon as it shipped and I have to keep reminding myself of that.
I’m not a reseller but if I was I’m sure I’d take some low ball offers once in a while too just to keep things moving. Plus, if you accept a low ball offer every now & again you might just win yourself over a new RETURNING customer. Sometimes you’ve gotta look at the bigger picture for the long run. 😊
I always counter no matter how low. They mostly end up ghosting me though lol I just think the algorithms like to see interaction so I always counter. If I’ve had the item for a really long time I check the asp before making my decision but most of the time I’ll just accept it
I generally accept low ball offers if they are 40% off my price or less. I hate the $12 offers on $20! I get so many! Ugh! But I’ve watched a lot of videos from resellers and I try to take the emotions out of it, I’m here to make money and keep things moving, and source something better next time. I don’t decline offers, I generally just ignore them and more often than not they come back with a higher offer 😂 So I know they’re interested!
I have been accepting more low ball offers than I would like, but I want to get some stuff moved. Happy birthday to your husband! My daughter, brother, and several of my friends share his birthday!
I usually counter those lowball offers just to see if the buyer is serious. Unless it’s something that I desperately want to get rid of and I’ll make a little money.
Hey Jen 👋 I had the same kind of day! I hope yours got better! I attribute mine to the gloomy weather we had today 😅. Depending on the item and how long I’ve had it, will I accept a low ball offer (to me is 50% or more off listed price, I usually counter with my lowest and if they counter I will recounter with the same offer. I don’t get offended or annoyed but i will recheck comps to see if I’ve overpriced. I haven’t had to block anyone yet but I’ve only been reselling for 6mo. Thanks hun!
I usually don’t decline. The only time I ever decline is if they offer a ridiculous amount. Like if someone offered me $5 on something I have listed for $100, and even then I have to be in a bad mood. Sometimes when I counter it ends up working out!
I counter if the offer is between 20% and 50% below asking price, decline if it's lower than that. If it's really really stupidly low, I'll actually increase my price to 5% below my full asking price.
I always counter low offers, but if the item has been listed for a while, I check sell through first. A question: when someone send you an offer, will the item be hidden from your shop until you decline, or is it still available for others to make an offer?
It’s frustrating when another reseller send me a low ball offer. When I shop I also accept the offer they send me or buy it full price if it’s reasonable.
Hey Jen when I check for research terapeak on my phone it doesn’t show me the sell thru rate percentage, but on my tablet it does give it to me. Am I doing something wrong on my phone? It shows ASP, Sold price range, avg Shipping, Free Shipping, and then total sellers, on my phone,I hope this makes sense lol what I am trying to ask
I counter the low ball offers. Sometimes they take my counter offer, sometimes they don’t.
And sometimes they counter back. I do think countering is better than declining. Declining means you won't have a sale. Countering you still might.

Good point.

That's a really great point! Very wise.

I think checking comps is a good idea. I just did that today and ended up accepting a pretty fair offer that seemed low at first.
I will also accept some lower offers than normal....only to keep everything moving...just have to do it sometime! Nice sales.
Same!!
It's good to know I'm not alone.

Oh the emotional aspect! Why is that so hard? These clothes mean nothing to me, but I get so attached.
I have been accepting more low ball offers than I would like, but I want to get some stuff moved. Happy birthday to your husband! My daughter, brother, and several of my friends share his birthday!
Oh that's fun! Happy birthday to all of them as well!
I usually counter those lowball offers just to see if the buyer is serious. Unless it’s something that I desperately want to get rid of and I’ll make a little money.
Yeah, sometimes it's worth it just to take the low ball.
Really low offers I counter an offer. If they counter back again & add a dollar or very low offer. I will most often decline. $5 is just way too low!😳
That super annoys me when I am in a back and forth with someone and I go down $5 and they come up $1. Seriously??

Yeah! I think sometimes people lowball just to see if there is a chance. And if there isn't maybe they are willing pay something more reasonable.

I believe it is still able to be seen until there is an accepted offer. I believe that is true on eBay and Poshmark.
How do use therapy? it? Does it cost anything?
If you have an eBay store, it is free in the seller hub and on the app.

Yeah, I could see how that would be frustrating.

I don't think you are doing something wrong. I don't think mobile gives us the STR. Honestly, I'm irritated about it.
@@JenntheReSeller that is irritating but at least i know its not me lol!

Hi Jenn ❤
Hello, friend!
Good morning sunshine 🌞 I would decline a 5 dollar offer.
Ok. Good to know!
