What a wonderful story pastor Doug. What an amazing example Mary was. What an amazing Saviour we worship! Praise God and his blessed son Jesus, who gave all for us.

I’ve watched plenty of movies where they’ve criticize God because He didn’t answer their prayer and bring back, or save a loved one, but God didn’t answer the way they demanded Him to answer, and that goes hand-in-hand with what you said about people wanting God to do what they want Him to do but they don’t want to listen to Him, they don’t wanna study the Word of God, but they want God to hear them to do whatever they want Him to do, and then they blame Him for not having a relationship with them.
Jesus tells us, “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” (Jeremiah 31:3).
“If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable” (Proverbs 28:9).
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart”
    (Jeremiah 29:13). To name a few….
So why don’t those who pray to God know these Scriptures? Because perhaps they’ve never gotten their dust off the Bible? Seek, knock, ask is an ongoing relationship with God in Christ….

Do you ever get a feeling that God is telling you to do something? That is called conviction. Sometimes, we are convicted to do things that are difficult and all we want to do is run away. But when we run away, we compromise with God. We want the benefits of a relationship but when He asks us to obey Him, we are not willing to do the hard work. What area of your life is God convicting you to honor Him with?

It’s funny you should say that about preaching the word and then have any announcements for anybody who wants to stay to hear them. I thought that for years! I thought 💭 why do they do this? a half hour of announcements and then the sermon? It’s not real bad and some of the church branches, but some of them are so long you feel like he had the service already, and they said nothing about Jesus, 😐 yet.

Yet, I have not seen a sermon, where the preacher welcome forth the audience to the podium scene, asking them to take off their shoes
and socks, then, offer the people to litteraly wash their feet.
Maybe ?, For a next upcoming sermon of yours: Add some towels, and some tubs filled with water.
With a most open hearts intention, in all humbleness, for each and everyone to take part of, and to witness.
    John 13:1-17 📑🎧
May my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ continuously bless you.
Even, may his everlasting love abound you in terms of his heavenly protection, peacefulness, and joyfulness, while his mercy and grace be with you.
In the name of the Father of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
    Amen.

They do so every communion. Wanting to see him wash someone's feet, is like the devil telling Jesus, " if you're the Son of God" prove it.
