As a business owner I don't mind being in the trenches. I mean when we all started up we had to ensure we as owners were there in place of absences etc. However I do agree it is the lowest use of our times as owners. New subscriber here. Thanks for a good vid.
I think when it's your choice to do actual cleaning, it's ok. When you HAVE TO clean, it is showing that you could better use your time to grow the company.
When I first started, I quoted everyone hourly because I didn't know how long a space would take me. How do I switch those older clients over to a set price?
Hi! First off, I've enjoyed your channel a lot so far and it has helped up my motivation as a business owner, so thank you! I am new in the cleaning business and am (obviously) looking here for some guidance. If you don't mind the unsolicited advice: one thing I think could help your channel, and help those watching is if you would include a brief introduction before each video stating 1) which cleaning niche you are covering (commercial vs residential etc), 2) a suuuuper quick summary of your success for credibility and so people can feel like they relate (ex: I grew my company from just myself to 100 employees with "x" profit, or whichever metrics you find most impressive) and 3) your reason for these videos (ex: and I want to share my story with you so that you can learn from my successes, my failures, and ultimately determine the best road toward your business's growth and development). I always find that a great intro that "hooks" the viewer keeps them coming back for more, as well as lets everyone know what exactly they are investing their time in! My bad if you DO have these components already in your other videos and I just haven't seen them yet. If that's the case, ignore me hahahah
In order to blow their minds away that means you're doing a deep cleaning everytime you go into our house. I don't think customers want that. I don't think they're willing to pay a deep cleaning price every time you come in. The average retired senior in my area, does not want to spend more than $100. Some will do that bi-weekly, but no more than that. I had one lady who wanted to pay me $70 for a clean. Of course those customers I don't take on, because I can't pay anyone or make money like that... And some people say I'm expensive. SMH..

Get out there and talk to people promote your business by making business card and if you can afford make some brochures. Do the work and eventually someone will call you just don’t give up.
There isn't enough money in California to make....Think about what you were making before you went into your cleaning business,,,anything above that is a bonus. Right! Start there!

people starting a business may very well be doing the cleaning. There is nothing wrong with that long as the money is worth it.
I just registered my own business in UK starting up from zero .hie cleaning family.
