In this process, you use a tap tone to determine if the plates are thin enough to achieve a certain note. Some makers are very good at this, others struggle to learn (me, for example). If they are unable to discern the correct tap tone, they can resort to microphone and software to map out all the tones the plate can achieve.

My partner wanted a new double bass and visited the maker who showed him round his huge collection of aged wood, tapping and knocking the wood as he went. Instead do lots of fast scales, G,D and A major to make your FINGERS stronger and faster. At the moment your finger speed is quite slow, you see? Nikola Tesla said everything has frequency. We often tune to the frequency of 440 HZ for the A note. It's also interesting when we talk we talk in frequencies. I often hear people sing song talking kind of like.

I have a little project of my own regarding the blackbirds I feed every morning - they're waiting for me; one in particular gets very close - I call him Ludwig and whistle the 3rd movement of the Beethoven Violin Concerto to him. He cocks his head and seems to be listening. One day he'll sing it back to me! Mary❤

I don't live by the sea and I just love to visit with my partner and Florence our dog...I love picking up shells, sea glass and interesting little stones while feeling the endless energy of the waves free my mind...wonderful just thinking about it... Two weeks ago I took finger tape of my violin. First lesson in the group after that I vas nerves but it vas ok. Very happy about that.
