Oh my GOD ANTHONY!!!! Can you PLEASE come and teach at my university???!!! I've just finished my semester and am revising smacking my head against the wall trying to understand hearsay before the final exam, gave up came to youtube and found this video... after 2 minutes and 11 seconds of watching I understand more than I did in class!!! Thank you!!!
Hi Anthony, I doing evidence and proof at cqu this term. Term 3 and I still prefer your way of teaching than most others. You way of explain is so much easier to get.
Thank you Anthony Marinac. Excellent video - I am reading law in Mauritius and your explanation on hearsay is clear and simple. Thank you very much Anthony Marinac. Are you a lawyer (barrister or solicitor)? If so, in which jurisdiction?
Hoping you can clarify something on the following basic scenario: A is charged with criminal offences against B (dv related). B provides a statement and will give evidence. B has previously told C about a history of violence that A has committed upon them. Is the evidence provided by C hearsay? (C is not a direct witness to the offences on trial but speaks to the nature of relationship etc?) Given that B is in court and giving evidence, are B’s comments to C still hearsay?
Got attacked the attacker was tottally unprovoked he attacked me and my little dog idk why ,, he then lied to police,, no one else got hurt acsept me and my dog ,, at the pretrial the only witnesses they could get was the arresting officer,, the guy who attacked use used to work for the same department and apparently there all buddies with him ,, in the pretrial they sent it to trial based on what the arresting officer said she heard the attacker told her ,, there trying to charge me with felony gbi assault with deadly wepon because I had my skateboard when me and my lil dog got attacked and they stole my skateboard,, is that even legal though ?

I'm researching on how Baker v The Queen [2012] and later cases impacted the law of Evidence in Australia.
Sorry to be responding years later - but I hope the research went really well!
Great vid and good work on simplifying a significant and complex area of evidence law
Thanks so much!

thank you SO much for helping us understand this complex area - evidence law is very interesting but super challenging!

Thanks for helping us
