The ssd is probably soldered onto the logic board. You can't upgrade it later. Has to be when it's purchased. Can however get a external ssd or hdd though
Interesting video! My 2020 iMac decided to completely stop working a few days ago. Totally dead. Bought a new power lead with no joy. It's out of warranty and I'd rather get a new computer than fix it as I wasn't really impressed with the machine anyway. I found it pretty slow, especially doing media stuff and the fan was obtrusively noisy. However, I didn't back up my files off the HDD. The question is, am I able to access these files or do I need to fix the computer in order to access the HDD. Looks like it might be the case having watched your video. What a nightmare.
This is the worst intel iMac ever for the follwing reasons: 1. No NVMe Socket or SATA port 2. Can't boot Windows from exetrnal Thunderbolt 3/4 enclsoure due to firmware limitation (Intel DMA Protection and Apple Implementation) 3. Bootcamp is very bad and does not run as usuall (like 2019 and older models) due to T2 Chip managing the Internal Nand-flash SSD which cause peformance and stability issues 4. The T2 chip settings (startup utility from recovery) is very limited and finicky 5.Every macOS update needs a special firmware updsaet to boot and prevent booting from older version if the setting is set to full security in the startup recoevry Waste of money. Do not buy it

So tragic for iMac owners. Seems like Apple doesn't care about this limitation they give their products.
I don't think you meant hard drive but SSD 😉
Other people have slot for ssd old model or what
