- PCM's Caitlin had the chance to spend the afternoon with Darren Criss at the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival in San Francisco, California! Criss is famous for his starring role as Harry Potter in the "A Very Potter Musical" series, and he has recently released a debut EP, titled "Human."
Check out what Darren had to say about his brother (Chuck of Freelance Whales), his time as a camp counselor, and the status of co-star Joey Richter's love life...
I would just love to walk up to this Darren of the past and ask him where he thinks he will be in a few years and then tell him.
"Don't be hellbent on making something for yourself; just make something." Everything he says is beautiful.
this will forever be my favorite Darren interview, and I have seen MANY a Darren interview... but this trumps all others

I love how modest he is about the success of AVPM and AVPS - it's because he's super talented!! It was inevitable that only a couple of months after this that he became famous through Glee. He deserves it all :)
He is the cutest thing in the entire world
I love how he still cares about what his parents think of him. And how he sends pictures to his mom from/during big events. Makes him that much more adorable!
whenever i feel sad at the fact that in so many of dcriss's interviews lately, no one gets his humor, i come and watch this
and rejoice
I really hope he stays as grounded as he seems to be now. He seems to have such an amazing personality, "just do what you like" and enjoy it! I want to meet more people like him :(

I absolutely love that he's all fidgety and just sits like a 5 year old and rambles.

I was smiling like a fool throughout this whole video and I didn't even notice until it ended.
This is how every interview should be with anyone. Just such one-on-one, personal feel, like he's really talking to a friend and giving everything.

I love that she doesn't interrupt him like they do in most interviews. She just lets him ramble on because watching/listening to him ramble on is the best thing to be doing.

The fact that this was only a year ago, a month before he got Glee just amazes me. His life has just changed so much and he has had so much success in so little time. Excuse me while I have an "I'm so proud of how far our boy has come" moment.....

Wow, I never realized that this interview was at Outside Lands. I WAS THERE THAT YEAR. If I only knew, I could have met him before his massive fame. This is actually blowing my mind right now.

I love the fact that he used to go to college just about 2 hours away from where I live, I stayed in the hotel across the street from the whole glee cast when I was in Rosemont, IL with my friend and we were told that we just missed meeting all of them... So close to meeting him, but yet so far...
